Chickens sure do fight and feast on them. Even though they can truly strip a tomato plant of the leaves, we have found that after removing the varmint, the leaves will come back and the plant will be fine. I was trying to look up what they become...some places say hummingbird moth others say not so. And I don't have time to really look in depth. But also wondered if they were the same as the tobacco hornworm, and they are not.
