"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands........" 1 Thessalonians 4:11

Sometimes we come to life's crossroads
And we view what we think is the end.
But God has a much wider vision
And He knows it's only a bend-
The road will go on and get smoother
And after we've stopped for a rest,
The path that lies hidden beyond us
Is often the path that is best.
So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load
And have Faith in a brighter tomorrow,
You've just come to a bend in the road.

(Helen Steiner Rice- The Bend in the Road)

wishing you a clear view and happier days soon!

My dear departed MIL was very fond of Helen Steiner Rice and I always chose cards for her with a poem by her. I wouldn't be surprised to find that this particular poem was in some card sent years ago.

Catching up with you after a few days, always I can get back to nature on your blog. It was freezing here this am. So I wouldn't mind sitting under those mesquite trees or taking a walk at your place. We are all well!!!

Oh, that is so pretty, and so true. I love the path with yellow flowers an both sides and down the middle.

What a perfect poem and sentiment for this time. None of this is a surprise to our wonderful Lord, and He is well able to take care of us through it all.
