Now is the time, when I can open the doors and windows of the house

and the fresh air comes in like a welcomed guest.
Outside, the whiffs of home baked bread, along with
dinner cooking on the stove makes it's way out the open doors,

while inside, I can smell the fragrance of the abundance of wildflowers, mixed with the scent of  fresh cut grass,
softly blowing in through the doors from my husband's
mower.

It is a pleasant time of cool mornings,
warming daytime,
and shady evenings.
Everything is at it's loveliest, and I could be happy
if every day would stay like these pretty days of
May.

Oh my, what beautiful wildflowers. I've dreamed of growing flowers just like that. Did you sow the seeds? I too love springtime when we can open the windows and doors. Enjoy every day. May will be gone before we know it. May is my favorite month of the year.

What a beautiful wild flower garden. I would love to sit in the shade nearby and simply take in the beauty.

Oh those fields of flowers are just gorgeous. My favorite kind of garden!!
I guess we need the cold winter days just to make us appreciate these beautiful spring days. : )

One of my favorite things is to see sheer window curtains blowing from the breezes coming in open windows. I live on a dirt road and dust is a problem most of the time; however, this year everything is too muddy for dust. Pollen is another reason I couldn't have open windows, because there is a pine thicket across the road from us.

The wildflowers ~ my dream! A wilderness of flowers! I'm also wondering, do you sow the seeds?

Very beautiful! I think I see some of what we call gallardias up here. Maybe something similar? Phil

Wonderful words and sentiments in this post. Your wildflowers there are so gorgeous. Your photos of them remind me of some of the paintings by Van Gogh.

Thanks for sharing these, Kathleen, I can well imagine how lovely it is to see this colorful scene every day. When we lived in VA we had a patch of wildflowers in the back of the yard and the butterflies really enjoyed them as did we.
