and the old cabbage roses........the ones I find so lovely and inspiring for my needlework, are attracting every bee of every shape and size. .....................
A word of thank you............for your prayers, concerns, and sweet comments , for my area..........as well as for the state of Texas.
It is a trying and scary time..............as it is for others in the country who are going through their own concerns with mother nature.
But from my heart...........I want you to know.........your thoughts are touching and they mean a lot!

The bee photo is pretty. I am sure Nebraska would be happy if the rain clouds moved your way. We are tire of it - and I do think of you in Texas when I want to complain.
Our stuff won't look like yours until June sometime. Lovely roses! I'm glad you are doing your part for the bees!

Those are some thirsty bees! Your roses are quite lovely, Kathleen. I hope you are having a good week. :)
I'm glad that you are finding some beauty to look at while still under the trying times of fire in the state.
Your photos are really good, Kathleen and your roses are SO pretty! And yes, we need rain.
Very nice photos and I feel really bad for the bees but I have always been afraid of bees (and other insects that bite or sting) but the thing I hate the most is TICKS..with all the rain we are having they are all over in the grass since it is to wet to mow.
Hello Kathleen,
Love the bees, plants need them. The roses are stunning, I love pink roses but that first yellow rose is glorious.
Happy days.

p.s how are the little chickens getting on?
I have been watching the news and thinking of my blogging friends in your neck of the country.Good thing the bees have sustenance around your home, they need it. Too bad we can't trade weather when the need arises,we would gladly share some of our rain and cooler weather for a teensy bit of sunshine. God is in control though, and He knows best. Good thing He has provided the bees with YOU!
WOW, lovely photos!!! I love the bees and have seen a few here hanging around my water fountain and birdbaths. I pray you all will see rain soon. I say "rain" and not stroms. We here in Ga got hit hard in counties not far from us. Rain is good but not these storms.
I'm so glad the little bees have sound a water source... it is so important for their survival.
Love your roses, Kathleen... such gorgeous colors!
Hi Kathleen, Glad you are safe and praying for all of those affected by the week's storms.
Your roses are simply beautiful. That cabbage rose is my fav.
Have a blessed weekend.
Beautiful roses, Kathleen! I just seem to kill mine. I can raise just about any animal or garden veggie, but flowers are another story. I'll just enjoy yours ;-)
The blooms are lovely, Kathleen, and so are the bees. It's good to hear you are safe and tragic that the weather has been deadly for so many. Enjoy your weekend and rest.
Your roses are beautiful!
