Stones around the pond and a little bit of garden

Well, it's not quite done yet, but here is a small amount of what I have been adding to the ponds edge.

I have placed some rocks around the edge, but will go and rearrange them to make them fit better . I think we actually got enough rock on our trip!

The boards that go across one edge is to offer shade during the day for the fish, until I get the lilly pads to grow and spread. I have the lilly pads in a container and one is starting to sprout! I still need to place more rock on the edges to smooth out the liner. The little fish we placed in the pond have grown double their size. I keep trying to take a picture, but they are just to fast and swim away.

garden and pond project looking great! I find I can get a picture of the goldfish in my stock tank by sprinkling a little floating fish food on the water - then click away! WOW those 'lopes look yummy - we eat a lot of cantalope during the summer but I've never had good results in my clay soil with growing them - well the soil and the deer and raccoonssssss - little rascals!

Kathleen, the stones are such a great addition! It is going to be a very pretty pond when you're done. Are you planning a bench to sit nearby? I am thinking you'll have a great spot for meditating and watching the local wildlife!

Oh, Kathleen!
I can't believe this was a satellite dish -- it's beautiful!
You have such an eye and imagination! Everyone with those old dishes, should see this.
Maybe you can send pictures of what you've done to a website that talks about recycling. Seriously, this gets prettier everytime I check in!!!

I'm loving your garden, too!
Those cantaloupes and watermelons... yum!!!!

Oh!!! Thank you, so much, for your reassuring words. I keep going back and re-reading them over and over. Thank you.

Many Blessings,
Julie

It's really looking pretty cool! I actually like the board a lot - looks sort of dock-like. What a nice addition - and all from an old satellite dish! Cool. The lopes look delicious.

Do you think snakes will get in it? ( I'm sorry... I have snake-a-phobia lately. LOL)
