Now this is my kind of chicken!

No... she isn't mine. I found this picture and thought is was just precious. I had heard of mama cats taking in dogs and other creatures, and now and then I hear of mama dogs doing the same, but I have never heard of a chicken doing this. Either way, it made me smile, I hope it does for you too.

I love that picture! Kittens or any baby just need a mama - I feel like I'm a mama to my bottle baby goat kids - the one this year sure believes I am his mama. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my!
That is precious! I've never seen anything like that, either!

Did you read any books to help you get started raising chickens? I've checked a couple out from the library and done some quick 'run throughs" but .... I'd really appreciate your suggestions!

Blessings,
Julie

P.S. I've tagged you if you'd like to play along!
