Spring time, Easter time

We, thankfully, did not get the snow this April from the old wives tale
I mentioned in a previous post.
The mesquite trees have signaled that cold weather is gone by their putting on their leaves.
A true sign here in Texas that winter days are over.
We are desperately dry and have not had rain in months. But the plants that
I have in containers are blooming .
All of the cactus in my collection are starting to bloom
and the little geranium on the porch is starting to look pretty.
In the greenhouse pumpkin, squash, watermelon, and cantaloupe
have sprouted and are growing strong, and hopefully
will be able to transplant to the garden later.
Easter is here and I hope this finds that you are having lovely
spring weather as you prepare for a happy Easter
celebration with family and friends.
Here's wishing you all a happy Easter weekend!

Happy Easter! I so love cactus....I guess I should say cacti. Just love their blooms and the variety of their shapes.

Green leaves and a beautiful geranium, enough to make your heart sing with spring joy.

The cactus flowers are lovely from such a prickly plant. We have had quite a lot of rain in recent weeks and wish we could send some to you, Kathleen. Happy Easter wishes to you and your family.

I'm so glad that spring is giving you those beautiful blooms and the Mesquite tree is putting on green leaves. Your seedlings are looking very healthy and green. I've only planted Cantelope once and the raccoons damaged every single one so I could not even harvest a single one.

Have a very Blessed Easter.
Hugs,
Julia

If only I could send you some of our rain...days of it mean puddles and now oodles of mud. Today was a high wind warning...and so it goes. The cactus flowers are lovely...such a pretty color for spring! Mary

Oh wow!! you have cactus flowers! I'm gonna get me some cactus for sure. Maybe the goats will leave them alone. Well, at least after one bite, lol.
Happy Easter.

How exciting it is to see the signs of Spring! We'll have to enjoy them while they last. All too soon Summer will be here! Oh well, I'm thankful for no bitterly cold weather this year.
Your vintage Easter greeting is lovely!
