A little over 9" and still snowing

The latest winter storm, blew through our state late last night
and snowed through the wee hours of morning. I am
enjoying watching it still falling as I write this.

The trees and woods take on a whole new beauty when the snow
is as deep as this.

However......pretty as it may be, it is not as
welcome to Sophie.

She had to walk in my tracks behind me this morning
because the snow was so deep it went all the way up
to her belly........she was not happy about this at all.

I would invite you to sit out with me with a cup of morning coffee
but the patio seats seem to be a bit occupied!
This will all be gone in just one more day.  Temps will
rise back up into the 60s.  But for now.......
I am just going to enjoy this moment.
How about you?  Are you under a blanket of snow?

There is something almost magical about the lovely snowfall as it covers the woodlands. It's still, pristine, and serene. I love quietness of the snowfall. So pretty.

No snow here in s.e. FL. I was just outside raking up leaves and trimming, 'sweating'. Your snow does look beautiful though. Have a great day ~ FlowerLady

It is beautiful, Kathleen. Snow always covers the ugly and makes everything look clean. No snow here, yet, but there is some in the northern part of the state. Really, I hope it doesn't snow here because it makes the cattle chores so much more difficult. Old age showing I guess. ;)

Here on the south coast of B.C. we don't always get snow in winter but right now we're covered with a few inches. It won't last. Rain is in the forecast. Snow sure does make everything look magical!
Poor Sophie. I can see why she'd have a problem walking in the deep snow.

No gardening for you today. We have had such heat here, but in the far south of NZ, massive flooding, and a little snow in the mountains in Southland. And this is our summer. Lovely to have a companion walk in your tracks.

No snow today but we do get quite a few snowfalls during the winter.
Tonight is supposed to be freezing rain!
Your snowy pictures are beautiful.

Oh, the pictures are just grand! I love a beautiful snow...as long as it doesn't stay around too long!

I'm glad you got the snow, it will add a little moisture to the soil. I'll bet the pup was happy getting into the house again after your walk. Phil

I am not complaining now about the mere 3 inches that we got. I like to look at it, but not drive in. Janice

It is pretty, isn't it? We're under a blanket of snow too, and I'm with Sophie. I'm ready for it to melt and want to welcome spring back.

Your snow scenes looked quite lovely, Kathleen, and unbelievable as it sounds you did get more than we have in a couple of recent snows. Our totals topped out at 6 and 4 inches, but it has stayed around a bit long because of frigid temps especially this weekend.
