Can you believe it??.............

I am posting about the large amount of rain we have been getting, instead of the lack of it??
It has been wonderful!

This is a cotton field across from my mother's home. There was so much rain water in it that it reached all the way to the main road. The wind was making waves lap in it!

Here on the grounds, the rain has made every thing grow. The pumpkin vines almost swallow Sophie!

The flowers in the various gardens are blooming their brightest.

This is the first year I tried working with Bachelor Buttons. They have done well.

The chrysanthemums are still blooming.

There is color every where!

With all of the moisture, comes the mowing and weeding to be done. Look at Sophie's face. She has been out in the pumpkin patch with me since early this morning. She wants me to finish so that we can go for a long walk.
How is the weather treating you?
What is growing and blooming in your gardens?
I would love to hear!

That's a lot of rain Kathleen! I love your gardens. I just finished planting another one, foxglove, tickseed are starting to bloom, along with my roses, Indian blanket, pansies and hollyhocks to name a few. Gardening has brought me such peace this year. Enjoy yours!

I am so glad you are having good amounts of rain. All your plants so great. We have squash, beans, tomatoes, okra, and peppers all coming in at once in our garden. All my flowers I'm having to water.. Love looking at all your beautiful pictures!!!

I thought it was a river at first glance! So jealous of your pumpkins. I've tried for 3 years but the SVB's get to them first.

Wonderful news!! Your flowers look so pretty and happy. We haven't had much rain for a while; my young zinnias are wilted today.

I am glad that you are getting rain. Tomorrow we will get a very unusual rainstorm. Here in the interior of California, we generally do not get rain in the summer. But we are grateful anyways. My roses are blooming like crazy. Mary A

We've been getting pretty good rain showers here, too. Sure does help cool things down and keep the dust settled, doesn't it? Love your gardens!
Hugs,
Dru

Still no rain here...the wind has whipped up fiercely and there are storm clouds but nary a drop. The heat has been unbearable! You DID get a lot of rain! Wow!
