It has been wonderful!
This is a cotton field across from my mother's home. There was so much rain water in it that it reached all the way to the main road. The wind was making waves lap in it!
Here on the grounds, the rain has made every thing grow. The pumpkin vines almost swallow Sophie!
The flowers in the various gardens are blooming their brightest.
This is the first year I tried working with Bachelor Buttons. They have done well.
The chrysanthemums are still blooming.
There is color every where!
With all of the moisture, comes the mowing and weeding to be done. Look at Sophie's face. She has been out in the pumpkin patch with me since early this morning. She wants me to finish so that we can go for a long walk.
How is the weather treating you?
What is growing and blooming in your gardens?
I would love to hear!
It was wonderful to hear you are getting a lot of rain. I'm so glad for you. Your gardens look great. I love the moss roses and chrysanthemums.
Our daylilies are starting to bloom now. I can't believe it's summertime already. Have a great weekend!
Kathleen, I'm so happy for you that you are getting all this rain and that things are growing so well. Your gardens look beautiful!
That's a lot of rain Kathleen! I love your gardens. I just finished planting another one, foxglove, tickseed are starting to bloom, along with my roses, Indian blanket, pansies and hollyhocks to name a few. Gardening has brought me such peace this year. Enjoy yours!
Hurray for rain! Glad you have finally gotten some. Your flowers look wonderful. My single pot of flowers are still alive.....maybe I have a green thumb after all.
For two mornings this week we enjoyed waking up to an early morning rain, it was wonderful. We are still need so much more but thankful for the rain we had..weather is getting warmer and probably have 100 degrees soon.
I am so glad you are having good amounts of rain. All your plants so great. We have squash, beans, tomatoes, okra, and peppers all coming in at once in our garden. All my flowers I'm having to water.. Love looking at all your beautiful pictures!!!
I thought it was a river at first glance! So jealous of your pumpkins. I've tried for 3 years but the SVB's get to them first.
I can understand one writing about rain! We hardly see rain around our parts, so I would be excited if we got rain and I would blog about it too!!! lol. Gorgeous pics of garden.
Wow, Kathleen, that IS quite a change! What a good companion Sophie is for you. Everything looks so pretty there.
Wonderful news!! Your flowers look so pretty and happy. We haven't had much rain for a while; my young zinnias are wilted today.
I am glad that you are getting rain. Tomorrow we will get a very unusual rainstorm. Here in the interior of California, we generally do not get rain in the summer. But we are grateful anyways. My roses are blooming like crazy. Mary A
