Oh goodness - we heard that ya'll were getting some white stuff out there! We're just getting rain, fog, and cool temps. Looks like your hens are keeping busy. I guess you could give them some crochet hooks while they're bored sitting on their nests??? ;)
Here we aree for a week stay in NH and no snow at all, but then I look at your post to find where it has all gone, Kathleen. Those are some very pretty eggs, so the chickens are doing a great job while staying indoors and warm!
Now that is a perfect winter photo isn't it? Bundle up and keep those hens warm. They are sure taking care of you this winter aren't they? I get one or two a day. Brown only.
My brother in Midland got 10.5 inches of snow! Holy moley what is going on? I mean an inch of snow in W. Tex used to cancel school and everything! Pretty eggs - araucauna (?spelling?) chickens do make for interesting egg baskets.
Oh how I wish this part of Texas would have got snow too. No snow here that week or this. Maybe we will get some before winter leaves again. My chickens are laying though! Picked up a batch of eggs just yesterday and a few last week too. Such exciting days. debbie

And I think if I were a hen, I'd snuggled down into the straw and keep my feet warm.

What beautiful eggs, they look like china. Stay warm west Texas, we here in N. Texas are just wet and cold, but so glad to have the rain.

Never knew so much snow fell in Texas! The eggs are beautiful and your lucky your hens are laying in that cold weather..

Oh wow, they are still laying even in the cold weather. Now those are some kind, sweet chickens.
