A blanket of thick white snow

blew across the prairie in the wee late hours
and covered the woods in it's crisp, cold, brightness.

That means just one thing to Sophie..........

Playtime!

She looks like she is making her own snowman.........or snowdog

We walked all over the grounds this morning........oohing and ahhing............well, I did, Sophie, just sniffed. But all of this snow means one wonderful thing for me and for Texas............
moisture!!!
How about you? Have you already received enough snow that you are already tired of it?
Or are you still out there making snow angels and snowmen?
I would love to hear!

That is so beautiful and I know you have to be glad of the moisture. We all have been so dry.

Send some here, we have yet to get snow but I pray we get what we go last year... It was 8 days of beauty starting Christmas day.

GOD bless and keep you safe and well.

No ma'am, we didn't get the snow, but we did get about 2 inches of much needed rain! My pond is now about 2 foot deep - it dried completely up this summer, and it's usually about 10-12 feet at its highest. So we're so happy about the rain! Wow - snow already! It's beautiful, Kathleen, and Christmas-y! I love your wreath on the gate! Sophie is indeed having fun! Enjoy your snow and being cozy today!

What a beautiful snow...one that sticks to every leaf and branch. We had rain, lots of rain, and a little sleet. Your pictures really helped put me in the holiday spirit.

Nice to see a heavy snow with no wind. Those are the best to walk around in. I am wondering how fast it will melt in Texas.

Who said it doesn't snow in Texas? Your pictures are beautiful. I remember when our little bichon would get out in the snow and play, you couldn't see her. I always said she was making snow angels.

We are getting our second measurable snowfall tonight. Already have about two inches on the ground I think. It looks very pretty there. Sophie looks like she loves it!! :D

We've only had a light dusting of snow so far. Your photos are so beautiful. The snow looks so much like Christmas. Looks as though your dog is having a wonderful time playing in the snow. I know you are so glad to get some moisture in Texas.
Blessings,
Brenda

We had some large snowflakes coming down this morning in KY, but it didn't stay which is alright with me as I need to go to town. When I am stuck in the house after knee surgery, I will welcome the snow!

No snow here on the VA eastern shore, Kathleen. In fact, the daytime temps today were in the mid 60s. We've had the threat of rain the past couple of days with possibly a downpour tonight, but NO snow :-( Yours is so lovely!
