Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful;
for beauty is God's handwriting ~ a wayside sacrament.
Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower,
and thank God for it as a cup of blessing......

It's always around us, beauty, isn't it Kathleen! I like that poem...
Are you having a fall garden? I'm still thinking about it... We've only gotten one rain last week, but I thought maybe fall's on the way, and ... oh I don't know...
What a pretty photo, Kathleen! I love the Emerson poem too. That's a good reminder for us all. :)
Good advice. Our Father has put so much beauty in our world, it's a pity not to enjoy it. And to thank Him.
A lovely sentiment, Kathleen. I am running a little behind on blog readings, but glad to read that you finally got some rain and hopefully cooler temps as well.
That reminds me of the saying I remember every time I look at my Beautiful Roses "Why did God put thorns on the Beautiful Rose but insted remember that God put the Beautiful Rose on the Bush of thorns :)
And that is a lovely thought. I'm catching up on your blog, I have been praying for TX to get some rain. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend Alice, that has to be hard. I loved your tea kettles all lined upon your stoop, and yes it did remind me of my Grma. And HEY WAY TO GO to your boy Joe!!!
I'm looking at beautiful flowers in the midst of fog right now and it is artistic ! He's the best artist ever!
I thought I saw the potential of rain hovering on the weather map last night...hope you got some.

When you really take the time to think about all the beauty that surrounds us... rather it's the landscapes, or the people who are put in our paths, it is He who has blessed us well.
Hugs,
Mel
I am really trying to stop and enjoy all of the simple pleasures given to me each day by my heavenly Father, Kathleen, Thanks for the reminder.

Great to hear from you. The flowers are lovely but none grow at my place as summer is over. But the leaves and acorns are falling and the herbs do grow all year round

Such a beautiful thought here!!! And your picture is just so lovely! So much beauty around us, but sometimes we focus on so many other things. Thank you for the reminder here!!!

I so enjoyed this post Kathleen as butterflies are some of my favorite creatures created by God. The lady bugs, hibernate in my attic, and come is swarms each late fall, a sight to behold. I hope to capture them on camera this year. Thanks for sharing.
