This is a Texas Prairie Dog.............

well this is a ham..........all the way around........enjoying a long, cool, drink in front of the birds...........out of their bird bath.............

Sophie is a big Prarie dog hamming it up! :o) Can you eat Prarie dogs like Rabbit? Maybein the days of the covered wagon they were glad to get a hold of one.

I'm awfully glad you were all safe from the fire - and that your farm was unharmed. We had one particularly bad forest fire here, over thirty years ago, with the fire coming right onto our property. We were ready to evacuate. And then, miraculously, the wind changed direction!

what a hoot! yes our cat loves to drink from the goat trough - nothing like water that has goldfish in it to have a special taste for a cat!

I always thought prairie dogs were so cool! I've only seen them at the zoo, though! I would love to see them in real life up close!
