For the longest time....the unforgiving West Texas heat has been pushing the temperature up past 100 degrees....
my leash and collar have been hanging in the hallway by the back door....
while Kathleen stitches and tells me it is just too hot for my little feet to go for a walk...so she just sits and stitches on embroidered buttons....you can take a look at these on her embroidery blog Yesteryear Embroideries http://yesteryearembroideries.blogspot.com

I sure hope you took that sweet doggy for a walk:) Thanks for visiting! Have a nice week. Twyla
I love the sweet expressions you captured on poor Sophie! I hope she finally got to go for "walkies."
How very precious. I do hope Sophie's pitiful look was not in vain!!! Wonderful pictures.
These pets of ours are completely shameless, aren't they? I know mine have me pretty well trained to give them their desires. :)
certainly hope Sophie convinced you - there is never a better time than NOW for a dog!
Sophie, I am so sorry that you have not been allowed to go outside in the heat. Perhaps some little boots to match your cap would be appropriate to protect your little feet. And a squirt bottle will take care of that cat!

Are you too hilarious or what!!?? Nice hat! Very manly. I know I'm the only person in the world, but I look forward to cold weather - but fall is my FAVORITE! I even like the colors in fall. No wonder the pup needed to get out in all that fresh air. Take care, girl ~
That is the cutest hat! I wish my pets were more animated like yours!
That is so funny that she wuned to go for a walk so bade, Sophie is very sweet. Your needle work is beautiful.
Ha ha! The news said some of your area was getting rain, I hope you all did! A walk outside as the weather changes is so invigorating, and it might make the the little whirligig on the hat spin too.
Hello Kathleen,
Oh, this is so cute! I know my Miss Morgan has me well trained!! :0) I've got to go look at your embroidered buttons! I'm adding you to my feed so I can keep up with you. My mind is like mud some days and then on the others I search for my list!! LOL
I do miss visiting with you.
Have a lovely day,
Stephanie
Sophie, did the hat work? I hope so! Maybe you could get your mistress up early with wet kisses and go walking? Good luck with that, cute Sophie!
ya kathleen don't make that cute beanie wearing pup beg while the cat makes fun of him, have heart will ya?
This is so funny, since I posted about my pet last evening. I didn't think of doing it in his dialog.
Too cute.
*chuckle* Poor little Sophie- she must be desperate for a walk to wear a hat like that! LOL
Hope things cool down for you soon, Kathleen!
She needs some booties to keep her feet from burning..I want to come take her for a walk..but I'm not so into hot temps either. We are baking in Atlanta.

I am so happy that fall is almost here. In fact, I've been wanting to sing Christmas songs already lol. I've had to hold myself back and just enjoy Fall. Fall makes me so happy.
So sweet!!
Oh, Kathleen,

I love the facial expressions! hee hee. I may have to make my dogs start doing entertaining things before I take them for a walk! :)
AH HA HA HA HA! Love the hat! Hope things have cooled off some for you, Kathleen. We are still getting rain here. Wish I could send you some. Have a great weekend! :)
