My name is Hercules....and I feel just like what the name stands for. I am a big, tough. and strong bunny. I have been on the farm with Kathleen for almost a year. When I was very young, she walked me around on a little leash with a harness. I finally got too large for the harness, so Kathleen lets me hang around in the house to get my exercise.
Imagine how insulted I was when, today, Kathleen tried to dress me in this!! This is for "Barbie's" bunny. Kathleen is not Barbie, and I am not this kind of rabbit.

As patient as she was to try dress me in this, I was not patient. A few good scratches and a bite on her arm, soon made her realize that this horrid green and pink thing was being returned to the goofy store she bought it in.

Herc is just a little, I mean big, cutie. I like how he is giving Max the heads up advice.
Too funny Kathleen - I agree with Hercules - animals in clothing is just not right somehow. I'm sure you meant well but no funny dressed bunny for Herc! LOL - thanks for the grin.
This is "buster " typing this comment.. Herc You are a smart Rabbit. I wouldn't like that pinky greenthing on either.. Why do our moms do this? Animals are not to wear people clothes.. a blanky now to sleep with is ok,.
You are cute too Max.. here comes my mom.. shhhhhhh !

That's hilarious. I've never seen anything like that harness. Where do you take him on a harness anyway?
We've been there done that with our rabbits, they also fought back with lots of scratches. What a cute post, I'd dsay what a cute bunny but afraid your bunny may not appreciate being called cute! LOL
Hey, I would like to invite you over as I have a little present on my blog for you, do hope to see you there.
Blessings,
Mel
I would love to have seen that cute (handsome) bunny in his harness - guess you'll have get one that looks much more macho. We used to dress our 20 lb Siamese up in doll clothes when we were young. He didn't care at all - even when we took pictures!
when he is roaming the house for exercise, do you lose track of him? doesn't he leave "pellet" here and there?
I've wondered about this for our rabbits but i worry about these things so they get to have outside exposure time in the large dog kennel (minus the dog).
Hi everyone, enjoy hearing from you, yes Lisa, if he stays too long, he will leave pellets. I only let him run around the house for about 20 minutes. He has a large cage he can walk around in. I mostly bring him in to keep him friendly. He likes to stay in the kitchen and doesn't roam around too much. That is why I used to put a harness on him because he loved to run outside. But as you can tell, he's not in the mood for that anymore. LOL. blessings,Kathleen
That's so funny, Kathy. Hope Hercules didn't hurt you to much though lol.
How funny! What a perfect was to start my day...Hercules put a huge smile on my face as I sipped my first cup of coffee!

Hercules looks just like our big black bunny. Her name is Fleecy and she is so chubby she has a double chin.
AWWWW, TOO CUTE!
Aw, beautiful little Herc! Awesome. I've seen pics of bunnies on leashes here and there, and I wondered how they did that. LOL
What a cute post! Really sweet picture too. Perhaps Hercules wanted leather instead!
Hercules is just soooo cute! Thanks for stopping by. I guess you will be returning the green thing. LOL
Irma :)
Oh Kathleen,
This is so funny! Tell Hercules I enjoyed his story so much. I remember seeing him in his harness in your archives. He certainly has grown! I love the photo of him with Max.
Thank you for sharing!
Blessings,
Paula
Kathleen, this is too funny! I can just see him getting indignant,"Of all the nerve!" LOLOL
Oh, they do have their own little personalities don't they:-) We used to let our bunny Max-A-Million hop around the house, then he decided to eat the baseboards... Hubby was none to happy.

Do you really dress your animals ? I bet you enjoy Beatrix Potter's tales.I think I agree with Hercules, but it is fun to dress up pets once in a while, especially if you're visiting city folks or children.
I have a friend who has always had a bunny. She house breaks them, they use a potty box and the bunny sleeps with them at night. Every morning the bunny wakes up first, then wakes up Mom with a kiss on the cheek, then hops on to the other rooms to wake up the kids. The bunny get dressed up for Christmas (Santa Hat), Easter (bunny ears), birthday's etc.
Bunnies just don't live long long lives, but she gets another one and starts over with the training.
Enjoy your bunny, they really are sweet things.

So cute!! My Ruby feels the same way as Hercules when it comes to wearing anything!
This is SO funny, because I have 2 pet rabbits and I know they would NEVER stand for this! I always think they would look adorable in the lil' sweaters they make for small dogs, but I can't torture them like that!!!Have a great day fellow bunny lover!
LOL
Poor little humiliated Hercules!!
Maybe you need to get him a harness made out of black leather and biker chains, Kathleen! LOL
What a cute bunny. When I was a little girl I had a pet rabbit named suzie, she was always dressed up in my dolly clothes and riding in my baby buggy.

Dear Kathleen,
I love Hercules ~ he is so cute.
Is the harness actually made for a rabbit? I have to admit I put our dachshund in a sweater when we go walking on really cold days. He tolerates it ~
Great photo of your kitty and bunny.
Hercules has grown so big! Maybe he wouldn't object to a more masculine outfit... I mean that green and pink number is just a bit too Lilli Pulitzer, don't you think? Hehe!
Precious! ~Mandy
HA HA HA! Well, I guess Hercules has a mind of his own! :D
Hercules you stand up for your rights my friend......a bunny like you has a reputation to keep up!!!
