The weather for the past two days has been overcast and promising to rain any minute.... but as of yet no rain. However, my garden has not dried out, giving me time to do my embroidery in my favorite retreat... the front porch. I have posted pictures looking out from here before, but at that time, every thing was brown, dry and bare. Now the house, the grounds..... every thing is surrounded in green.
It has been so cool, and I could sit here forever, just stitching the hours away.
The Azalea's blooms by the way, have doubled in size since being transplanted and placed here. As you can see, I am never without company. Abby is just one of the many felines that stay by my side. It is very hard for me to put my needle down and get other things done on days like this.

Oh Kathleen,
It's just beautiful! I just love porches....you just HAVE to have one in the south! We have a patio that sweet husband built on last year and it gets lots of use. Maybe our next home will have one like yours........ I'm hoping and dreaming!
Thanks for sharing yours!
Blessings,
Julie
What a beautiful place to come for a visit...Mary
It is certainly lovely. What are those unique trees with the curvy trunks? They add such a peacefulness to your garden.
I hope you'll share what you've been stitching. I was stretching my neck to peek around that photo to see! LOL
Blessings,
Lea
Hi Julie, so glad you stopped by. Actually, we live in West Texas. Not as humid and much dryer.{: Hi, Mary, so glad you stopped by to visit! And glad you stopped by Lea, those trees are mesquites. They are better for barbecue and smoking meats, than for shade.... but a whole lot of them together makes the place look green. Thank you all for stopping by! blessings, Kathleen
The azaleas look beautiful, Kathleen. Abby looks very curious!
