Hello everyone.......how are your February days treating you? Are you covered in ice and snow?
Are you enjoying the warmth of a sunny day? Whichever you have, I hope it is
pleasant for you.
We have some days of ice, some days of rain, and many days
with sunshine.
The vibrant yellow color of the Italian Jasmine blooming
catches the eye during this bland time of year.
The fragrant blue blossoms of the hyacinth ......that
jumped into my shopping cart at the store,
brings some happy color to the back porch.
Although the landscape may still be in it's winter slumber
the sky does not withhold it's beauty.........in the morning
it is absolutely breathtaking.
although we are still in the middle of freezing temps...........
seeds and seed catalogs are getting me anxious to plant.
Until that time actually comes,........
I want to grow!

No planting of flowers or veggies for us, aside from some herbs on the window once it warms up more.

Your flowers in the hands embroidery is beautiful. It looks like it's a lot of work to trace but you did a magnificent job in both, tracing and embroidering. Such a lovely hobby.
I've received my seed catalogs but haven't had the usual itching to start ordering. I still have lots of seeds left from last year but I need to check what I need to order. I'm afraid that I will not have as much energy as in years past. I'm lucky that I can buy my seeds from a merchant in our city who carries the same brand of seeds as in the catalog. There has been a price increase again this year.

Oh how beautiful your embroidery is! And your sky! Here we are in the 30's now but it will hover around 40 by the day's end. I will have a smaller garden this year, but I want to try to grow some cotton. It's a pretty plant!
That morning sky is simply amazing, Kathleen, and the Italian Jasmine and hyacinth are both day brighteners for sure. Your embroidery really captures springtime blooms as well.

Hyacinths......my favorite. They do tend to find their way into my shopping cart but not before I inhale their lovely scent. Beautiful hand work. I never could get that right, so I appreciate it when someone else does such beautiful work. We've had a mixed bag of ayweather this month, not the usual February at all. Saw my first Robin yesterday.
I love your embroidery. Especially the bee. The scent of hyacinths are fabulous. I am planning my gardens, but still have plenty of time before I can actually do something.
