The days of October had brought a rushed "busyness" to the days

before the chill of November set in.  Yet, there were many slow down

and enjoy days as well.

The last of the wild flowers bloomed brilliantly
as well as the remaining garden flowers.

Bees of every kind busily collected the offering of each available flower

The Monarch butterflies made their annual migrating trip,
stopping to rest for a few days before heading on.

The many migrating birds came to visit as well.
This year we had a group of Blue Jays..........
something we have never had visit here before.
Their loud squawk was so different than the usual
song bird in our area.

We have also had an abundance of deer coming into
the yard in the late afternoon to eat the remaining bird feed
left on the ground. I quietly followed this buck in the
woods for about 40 minutes.  He knew I was following,
yet he slowly walked, stopped to nibble grass, and look back
at me, allowing me to take his photo.

We often surprise each other when we round the corner of the
house,

yet this one, was not frightened of me, and allowed
me to get very close to take his photo.

I told all of my friends that I "shot" and 8 point buck..........
"with my camera" .........only
ha ha
October left us close on it's last days with a taste
of the cold that is to come.  First came the ice storm,

then the soft, falling snow.

The woods always seem so magical and peaceful in a blanket of snow.

I stepped out into the early morning to capture a beautiful
sunrise......and after looking over the photos on the computer
I was surprised to see an angel in the clouds.
Do you see her?  Look to the left of the top of the electric
pole. I see flowing hair, a head, neck and flowing gown
and wings.

Here is a clearer shot.  My husband also noticed a face looking
down.....do you see that as well?
I believe in angels............do you?

I DO believe in angels, and I could see yours in both photo's. A little message from our Maker.

Since I live in FL it's difficult for me to imagine your weather. It's so beautiful where y'all live; I always enjoy your photo's. The deer being so close to you, that's amazing. Glad he decided to be friends. :)

Hope all is well; take care.

Lovely photos of the flowers and wildlife around your yard, Kathleen, especially liked the sunrise and I do believe in angels as well. What a difference in seeing the first few photos and then the surprise ones of the ice and snow. You had snow even before we did late last week!

Yes, I see the face!!
Great shot of the buck.
Haven't had our first snow fall yet, but I'm sure it will happen soon.
We have blue jays year round here by me. (western MD)

Happy November to you! I always love seeing your sights-such beauty. I do believe in angles and love seeing them in the clouds. We've had some snow last week, which helped the fires and the fire fighters; I'm not quite ready for it to fall continually, but our area desperately needs it.
Hugs,
Noreen

oh my goodness - snow so early in Texas - beautiful picture of the buck - too bad he isn't smarter about staying away from humans - lovely look at the last bits of autumn - thank you

oh these are beautiful photos. I do love the deer, even when they snack at my garden. I see a large bird in the clouds look like an eagle, with another above it which may be your angel face. I love to cloudwatch. Blue Jays are rather noisy, but they sure are pretty. I do believe in Angels.

This is a beautiful post! I can't believe those bucks that let you get so close. Aren't they pretty! The Blue Jays, we have them here. Sometimes they sound just like someone beeping a car horn. They are loud.

I always enjoy the deer visits. The blue-jays are one of my favorite, but hard to capture a photo, they are so skittish. Nice snow among the mesquite trees. Phil

I like all your pictures but the ones of the buck that allowed you to be so close amazed me the most. The sunrise pics are beautiful and yes, I can make out the form of an angel.
I guess I didn't realize that places in Texas could get ice and snow.
Keep safe and well.

What lovely photos! I can't see the angel's face but then it is almost 2AM! 😊 I do marvel at that 8 point buck allowing you to get so close. How could anyone kill such a creature and for sport? Take care.
