Come, pensive Autumn, with thy clouds, and storms,
And falling leaves, and pastures lost to flowers;
A luscious charm hangs on thy faded forms,
More sweet than Summer in her loveliest hours...

Summer might have the bright flowers, but autumn with golden and red leaves, frosty mornings, and rainbows is always truly lovely. One bee getting the last little scrap of nectar before the season ends.Beautiful, as we live in these worrying times, nature gives so much delight.
I've often noticed that Autumn seems to have by far more poems written about it than the other seasons. I guess poets also found more to admire and enjoy in this lovely time of year.
How wonderful!
I loved the image;
Good weekend
Love the zinnia and the bumble bee. That's about all that is left in my garden too. Fall is such a beauridul rime of the year.
Have always loved zinnias! Janice
That was quite a large bumblebee, Kathleen, and nice that you have some blooms still to attract the bees. I will admit that zinnias, while colorful, have never been my favorite bloom but the butterflies always like them too, and I like seeing butterflies so it worked out.
Good weekend.
janicce.
I need to plant more zinnias next year, especially since they attract the bees. They're also pretty tough in dry weather. Thanks! Phil
What a beautiful photo and lovely poem.
I wish you a very happy autumn.
I do love zinnia's and sometimes forget to purchase and plant.
Times are changing for us, right? :)
