I still have eggs in my pocket........

with a chick, chick, here

and a chick, chick ,there,

here a chick,

there a chick,.......(and.....a rooster or two)

everywhere a chick, chick ........

and the wonderful sound of an early morning crow!
and in case you are wondering........yes.....there is always a needle
in my hand.
I have been making very tiny hand stitched quilts.
You can read about these on my embroidery blog at this link
Have a wonderful day!

Your last photo with that handsome fellow, we once had one like that, but his nature was not gentle, and after several attacks on us humans, he went to what I would call " Rooster Paradise" a farm with geese, donkeys, sheep, hens galore, and we did hear he was having the most wonderful time and not a streak of nastiness ever. All he needed was a harem.Funnily enough, the owner called his place " McDonald's Farm ". That wasn't his surname, from memory he was Mr Crosby.

Oh, they are beautiful! So many and varied are their colorings. Our God is an awesome Creator!

The pictures make me want to keep chickens again. Some years ago the city brought in a by-law prohibiting them in town so that's that.

You have the most beautiful chickens (and roosters). I used to have hens and miss the rich, wonderful tasting eggs my free rangers supplied us with!

Such pretty chickens. I love the hen with the white feathers trimmed in black. I seriously meant to raise a few chicks this summer but still haven't bought any. Our hens are getting older. I am surprised they still lay as much as they do. The little quilt is beautiful. I'm going now to look at your other blog.

Having a chicken or two in your pocket is a good thing, Kathleen, as long as the eggs don’t get smashed.
