Most of the time, I find myself sitting out on the back
patio because of the welcoming morning sun.
But there are pretty winter days and afternoons
where the front porch is a haven.
The woods surround the viewing area from the side
and all around the front. It is quiet and peaceful
today.
A great place to read a book, work a few stitches,
or to just sit in silence and enjoy.
On the front of the porch the Pyracantha
is full of orange/red berries
On the side of the porch, the Yaupon Holly is full
of red berries.
So.......everyone.......
"Come sit on the porch with me
the drinks are cold and
the friendship's free"

What a lovely view..oh how I would love to have a place to sit/rock and crochet and enjoy a cuppa, seeing nature before me, breathing in the country air, what a joy. Thank you for invite.
Love the views, the quiet place to sit and read, and the rocking chair, that is such. a treasure.
Wow, I love your porch and your views. Such a blessing to have a peaceful place to sit and relax, crochet, read, to just be still. Happy January ~ FlowerLady
I love to sit out on our front porch too, but won't be doing that for a while yet. :)
A beautiful place to sit and rock! Janice
I'll be right over!! :)
I'd love to come and sit on the porch and have a lovely visit. It looks a lot warmer over there than here!
Love the view.
Your porch seating and views look so comfortable, Kathleen, and yes if we lived closer I would be joining you! We had several of those same bushes with the red berries at our former VA home.
Oh your front porch! I love it. And, hey we've got some of those 'pyra' things too and didn't know what it was. :)

Thank you for the invite! I'll bring some embroidery for you to help me with. It's a drawn thread embroidery that my mother had not finished. It would be fun to have a gathering with you!
A very nice porch. I like the red berries, especially now.
Your front porch looks very cozy and welcoming. It would be lovely to spend some time there.
I love your porch! Your yaupon holly is what I call nandina. I've also heard it called heavenly bamboo. Funny, huh?
There is always so much that is good to see and to do in this world. Thank you for sharing your bit of it!
Oh I wish I could sit with you on your porch. It is so pretty there, and all around your place.
