High up in the maple tree,
Joyously, singing his happy song
To his feathered mate, in glee!...
If we could be like this tiny bird,
Just living from day to day,
Holding no bitterness in our hearts
For those we meet on our way...
Gertrude Tooley Buckingham,

Wishing you a happy day with birds singing!

That's such a sweet, sweet poem! I've had lots of robins scratching around in the leaves in our yard. They don't seem to want handouts from the feeders. :)
Sweet picture and words, Kathleen. Wishing you a happy day today too! :)
Thanks you for the happy wishes. I hope they come to you as well!! At this time of the year the bird song and the sun with it's increasing warmth are such a blessing.
So nice hearing all the birds singing in the morning and I've seen lots of robins around here. Don't know where they are now though with all the snow we've been getting.
Happy down here too, a safe trip, and safe travel home again. All is well in God's Garden down here.
It seems a year for the robin, for they have been hopping all over the place here. I'm not sure I have heard their song, though. I love the poem!
Really sweet.Wishing you all the happiness that this world can provide
Love the poem! What kind of bird is in your photo?
I do love this time of year when the birds' singing is so sweet. I even hear them late at night sometimes.
Such a pretty little bird!
I love the poem...The bird is so pretty. I feed them, do you? Happy St. Patrick's day!
I like this poem very much. I hope you will have a very happy spring. I'm looking forward to it after such a cold winter.
There have been no robin sightings here, Kathleen. Today we saw an eagle soaring close to the library as we were leaving. The Nashua River is located very close by so perhaps it was looking for lunch?
