They are such tough little creatures and can take pretty good care of themselves.
God gives every bird its food, but He does not throw it into its nest.

Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them? Rose F. Kennedy
A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.

What wonderful photos and quotes.
Happy Winter ~ FlowerLady
Fantastic quotes!! It seems like when it snows here, that's when the little things come out. I have feeders up but very few birds come to them; do you suppose there's too much going on around here?
Love those quotes with the bird pictures.
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:26
Inspiring as always.
Looks like a white crowned sparrow in the snow. They have such a lovely song, and even in the worst conditions they sing ! Birds are truly a testimony to the joy in life and offer so much music to mine. Beautiful post.
Are you in line for the massive snow storm that is coming to the North East?Love the birds and the quotes. Beautiful, and what a reminder that birds do well in winter as well as summer.
Aren't they precious little things? We have a feeder hung outside several windows and we keep them filled. We never tire of seeing the adorable little dinner guests :) If the feeders get empty before we notice we have angry little fellows chirping at the window!
Worthy post. Enjoyed visiting you this morning. The comments are thought provoking. Those Chinese have wonderful proverbs and a terrible government. Poor people. I too enjoy watching the birds in the snow. Their colors and marking are so much more vivid and beautiful. Have a great week.
Lovely photos and quotes to go with them, Kathleen. The birds can be very entertaining to watch.
That is an adorable little bird!
Hello Kathleen,
Some great photo's can't believe how crispy and white the snow is. I saw heaps of little birds flying near a power/light pole on my walk this morning, must have been some good bugs caught in the spider webs.
Have a wonderful day.
Bev.
Love the pictures and the words. We have snow, sleet and freezing rain this morning. I noticed lots of birds this morning eating with the chickens and guineas. I do throw out an extra cup full just for the birds.
