I decided to dress her in a bright and vibrant red dress
with a hat perfect for a southern belle.......
isn't she lovely?
So far, with the harsh wind blowing.........all of her clothing has stayed in tact.
She looks so real
that Sophie barks at her every morning and stands a little off from her.......
poor pooch.
And just for you readers..........since you live too far away to visit my shop, I have created a coupon for you to visit my online Etsy shop

Also, I was reading through my vintage cookbooks and found a recipe from an restaurant named Yesteryear in the late 50s.
As you know, this is the name of my vintage shop. This book has recipes from many restaurants and inns during that time. I was curious to know if any of these places still exist. I started researching Yesteryear first. I found and interesting and somewhat sad story that goes with this. You can read this and also get the recipe on my cooking blog
Here's wishing you a very happy Easter!

Gertrude is a real stylish lady!
Gertrude is a strong one...women of the plains had/have to be! She does look lovely in her new frock. Wondering how long it will take the wild critters to accept her as one of their own.
Gertrude is looking very stylish!
May I say, Gertrude looks downright pretty! Love her hat. :)
Have a blessed Easter.

I'm glad to see that you are following approved tradition. Because of course every lady knows she needs a new dress for the Easter parade!
Hello Kathleen and Gertrude,
Happy Easter, love Gertie's new outfit.
Happy days.
Bev.
Lucky Gertrude, she has a wonderful outfit!
Love this post! Hope your Easter was a blessed day for you.
Poor Sophie, barking at Gertrude! :-) Gertrude does look like she is in her Sunday, Easter best! :-)
Gertrude looks quite fetching! I hope you had a nice Easter.
I followed you faithfully about six years ago. I am also long time friends with Daisy and KathyB. I remember that you also had some Mildred china by Mt. Clemens. Just yesterday, a friend told me about a private facebook group called "For the love of Mildred." I think you would enjoy it. Nice to reconnect and I do love Gertrude!
