Last week..........we got more snow............

and more ice............
with the grounds in cold slumber. Sophie never tires of walking around in it.

But as the warm weather came and started melting, the grounds woke up and sprang forward their treasure/

Now the sun warms the earth and the Jasmine is in full bloom with it's cheerful yellow blossoms

The ground that seemed so frozen and rock hard has given way to daffodils sprouting in all directions

and in every container.
How about you?
Are you still covered in a blanket of snow...........
or are you seeing signs of spring?

Our snow has melted and we've had rain for 2 days. With temps rising we should see some signs of spring soon....YEA!

Yesterday it was 70 degrees and it almost seemed too good to be true! Our dogs weren't interested in the snow one bit!!

So lovely to see your daffodils are out. We have finally gotten rid of our snow here, and we have crocuses blooming in front of the house. :)

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you! I wanted to tell you, the pictures of Lonesome George were taken when we lived in Texas (my grandson is now 13!) A friend whose sister had chickens felt she had too many roosters so I offered to take two. One got away from them and took off into the woods, but they managed to get George to me, and he was a dear pet for several years. I felt sorry for him being the only chicken we had though. Hope things start warming up where you are!

It is always amazing that ground frozen hard as rock can also open up for delicate flowers.
