and every thing on the grounds is showing the results of what a good rain can do.
The pumpkin patch has spread all over and across the yard.
Pumpkins in every stage
of development
are lying among their gigantic leaves.
This is one of my favorite spots in the yard. Not much grass grows, but there is a natural walkway between the trees and it leads to the gourd patch. The thick cluster of green is where it is located.
Here the gourds are growing in all shapes
and with some of the prettiest designs.
My zinnias had been looking tired, but the rain has given them a boost
and they bloom in vibrancy.
The morning glory is spreading and crawling throughout the different gardens.......
and they have bloomed from my needle as I embroider a shirt that I placed some on.
There is a Cherry Crumble Pie, fresh from the oven
and if you would like the recipe,

that will take you to my cooking blog.
Are you getting a lot of rain?
Or has colder weather crept upon you?
I would love to hear!

I want a pumpkin patch so bad! Preferably with all the old warty, bumpy varieties and some decorative gourds. They are so beautiful, and the chickens love them! Your garden looks beautiful, ours is just declining. What state are you in?
It looks lovely there! Your pumpkins and gourds look great. And that pie looks so good. I hope you have a nice weekend.
lovely patch for gourds and pumpkins, ours did mediocre this season, but Hugh used a whole one for soup this morning. Yummy pie, Enjoy today, or tomorrow, if today is nearly done, in fact, enjoy every single day in your place. Hugs.Jean.
Your garden looks fantastic! I love those beautiful pumpkins! You would laugh if you could see our yard right now. Twice a year we have to pay to have the weeds all removed, after the rains. We had an extra portion of rain this time, so the weeds are extra tall! :-) I gave up on my veggie garden. We really kind of wish the kids would find great work opportunities a bit farther north. I'd love to move where it isn't so hot.
I would just love to walk around on your place! I can almost smell that cherry deliciousness!!!
We're finally getting a bit cooler here in FL. This makes me happy since it isn't quite as difficult with the yard work.
I enjoyed your photo's. You truly have a green thumb, and of course with the help of the rain the Good Lord gave you. :)
Oh yes, water from the sky is the very best. Your gardens look wonderful this year. It will be time to carve those pumpkins before very long!
Your gardens are lovely, Kathleen! We've had lots of rain here, too. Matter of fact it was good to see the sun today.
What will you do with the pumpkins and gourds? That's nice to see your zinnias perk up! Our flowers have all pretty much given up for the season!
Beautiful work; garden, shirt and pie!!! You are so industrious!
Your pumpkin and gourd patch is simply wonderful !
(And so is that Cherry Pie !)

Everything is so green! Whatever you grow is my favorite thing, just wish I had room for those things. I am cleaning out my garden now, so sorry to see it go but already I think about next year!
That cherry crumble pie looks so good. I love your photos of the gourds and pumpkins. Your zinnias are very pretty, too. Beautiful work. Your are very creative.
