yet I could not bear to throw the pieces away.
Instead, I decided to use them in some of my cement work.
I decided to try to create a cement quilt look to this stepping stone, using some broken dish pieces I have saved, along with some tile pieces and slate quarters I have found in hardware stores.
Now I can enjoy my china..............outside!
In previous posts I have shown you my pumpkin vines that are now in full bloom............
I also found a way to create cement pumpkins . I love pumpkins! I can now decorate my yards and porches when fall comes!

I also experimented with black color for cement. It makes a pretty color for planters ..........
don't you think?
I love working with cement and am trying to think of useful things to create with it.

I've never worked with cement, but I have to say your patchwork stepping stone really haa inspired me, as I love learning new things. Did you use quick-crete?
I have a few pieces in that same pattern ~ beautiful! And you've put the broken pieces to good use. I don't think I have your talent for working with cement.
Well, I have always wanted to work with cement like you do. Love the idea of using broken dishes and making it look like patchwork.
I love that pattern too, I have a enourmous bowl that was Grandma's with it.
I think your pumpkins of cement are brilliant. You have a goldmine there, is there somewhere close by you could sell them?
The earthy way you've colored them is perfect too.

Pumpkins, planters, and stepping stones of cement...all works of art. Now, I am wondering where this new medium may take you.
I love what you've created ! I did make a cement planter a few years ago but never did much more than that. I like the cement pumpkins and the black planter is stunning.
