We have gotten much rain this past week and the temps have dropped under 50 degrees............
yet the flowers are enjoying the break from the heat.
How about you?
Has it gotten extremely cold in your area?
Do you have any blossoms blooming still?
I would love to hear!

Love your embroidered thistles; never cared much for them before! I have missed not having zinnias this year; enjoyed your beautiful pictures.
I love zinnias! Your gardens look quite pretty, Kathleen. I love your embroidered thistle too. You really know how to capture what you see in your stitches. So talented! I hope you have a nice Sunday! :)
Beautiful Fall gardens! I always love zinnias. . .My Grandmother had them everywhere!
Your Zinnias are beautiful. I have always loved them. I think we have to start them inside here in order to have blooms. I would like to try. My favorite is a black zinnia. I saw some at a farm stand in southern Maine. Beautiful.
I ALWAYS LOVE your zinnias! So you plant them by seed. Well, maybe next year! I think I said that last year...
Your living and stitched flowers are all gorgeous!
Your embroidered thistle is beautiful ! Your flowers are so pretty Kathleen, and I think the white zinnia is especially pretty. I don't think I have ever seen a white zinnia before.
The weather here is warm, and unseasonably dry. I am longing for the cold & rain , maybe next week.
Not sure what the temp was this morning but the heat was set on 55 and it came on. The Zinnias are so pretty!
Your zinnias are so very pretty! I planted them three times this year but only had four plants to survive.
I'm enthralled by your thistle embroidery. The long purple threads were a brilliant idea! Way to embroider!
Have a great week!
Your thistle embroidery is fabulous! I'm enthralled by the long purple threads left loose. That was a brilliant idea!

Have a great week!
Kathleen, your zinnias are wonderfully colorful and certainly glad you shared them. We are currently on a road trip through the VA Blue Ridge and earlier in the week it was rainy and overcast. The past couple of days have been cooler with temps in the 60s-low 70s just barely.
GORGEOUS zinnias! I know you are happy they are blooming!
Your zinnias are so pretty and I love the Mexican petunias.
It is very blah around here right now. The crape myrtles are done with their show, and very few trees are changing color yet. Feels and looks like winter. A very cool 54 degrees, down from 105 on the 1st. We are due for rain and thunderstorms. My candles are ready this time, as we were caught unawares last time. Nothing like searching for candles and matches in the dark!!! LOL
blessings, jill
I love the zinnias, Kathleen~ the colors are so pretty. I was wondering if you ever see any honey bees on them?
We've had temperatures in the 30's the last couple of nights... it's about time for us to have a good frost, though.
Hope you're having a wonderful week!
Your petunia are so pretty...though I'm much intrigued by the circular wood-like thing that appears at the bottom of the picture. Is it the garden fence?
