My Plate Is Full

In the greenhouse the tomato plant has tomatoes on it! I have the sprouting and growing down right................
now I just need to get the timing right. I think that if I plant and sprout tomatoes in August of this coming summer.............I should have tomatoes in the greenhouse during the winter. This vine sprouted close to November of this past year.
The seeds I received from Hometown Seeds are breaking ground and I still have other seeds like corn, beans, and squash to plant. I also opened my embroidery shop on Etsy.com to hopefully sell my embroidered linens on line.

And I also came upon a job opportunity on Tuesday and was called early Wednesday to be told that I had the position. I was supposed to start to work next week, however, they called me in today! I love the work..............it's busy............a little stressful..........but it is something, at this time in my life, I need to do. I will talk more about this job in a later post. Now my day begins at 5:30 in the morning, at work by 6:30 and at home by 3:30 in the day. The hours are good and I get off early enough to still have the day to work in the garden, tend to the animals, and to stitch on my embroidery...........my plate is full at the moment. How about you? Do you juggle, career, hobby, creative work, and other things in your life? I would love to hear!

Good for you Kathleen. Yes, I try to juggle; home first (just my thing) gardening, dispatching trucks, commercial rabbit operation, oil painting and quilting when I get time, and house breaking Izzy at the moment :) nuff to keep 2 people busy!! Also the Employment office called me today also, with a job opportunity (like I could handle anything else - not) lol. You will probably come to enjoy your job. I will be looking to hear about it.

Wow, your tomatoes look great! Congratulations on your new job, Kathleen! That is exciting news. I hope it goes well for you. Yes, I juggle or try to. Every once in a while I drop the ball though. HA! You just do the best you can. Good luck with your new schedule and new opportunities. :-)

Kathleen - Yep I juggle, too. What type of job did you get? I'd like to know! I get off at 3:30, too, but it sounds like you're getting more done than I! I've been in a slump I guess, but I think I'll get cranked up again as the days get longer. Work, gardening, keeping house, taking care of MIL, trying to get her house ready to rent and on and on... Is there ever an end?
Well, best of luck on your new job! What a blessing!

Oh yeah - I forgot. Good job on the tomatos! You could have fresh produce year-round! I want a greenhouse, too!

Girl, you never cease to amaze me. Now to juggle a job as well, I can only admire you more. I wish I were younger and able to pick up some part time work.

The tomatoes are beautiful and given much more sun will be ripe before you know it.

Please take care of yourself in your busyness.

Blessings.

congrats on the job. I'm hoping to hear that I have one today. Went for the interveiw the other day.
I'm having a hard time balancing life in general these days. Not sure what it is, either laziness (which is a big part of it i'm sure) or jsut plain tired (hormones). I thought of you the other day. I was going thru soem stuff in my sewing room and came across abunch of transfers, mostly from old Workbasket magazines my mom used to get.
Take care

Congrats on the new job and store! I hope it all works out for you.

I juggle too. Sometimes I have to prioritize, focus and let a few of the less important things go. It is hard, but can also be very rewarding!

you do indeed have a full plate
I hate those early hours
my hubby is up at 5:30 too
no I don't get up with him because he chooses not to talk...he likes it as a quiet time. That gives me 2 more hours to sleep...he sleeps on the couch off and on all evening (o: I like to read till 11 or so.

Wow, you will soon be able to eat some fresh tomatoes! Congratulations on your new job! Those are some great hours. I used to work the same ones and loved it! Nope, no working for me right now anyway.

The tomato looks delightful! I'm an economy model, I didn't come with a juggle mode, I drop stuff just when I hold only one thing! Have fun at the new job!

Kathleen,
I work at a school, which I mostly enjoy, and have school hours, but I have also been helping with my 3 grandchildren, because daughter is having a high-risk pregnancy. I'm exhausted with no free time for creative endeavors. At post 55 yrs. old now, I'm just wishing I could retire so I can work at home! Alas, it's just not possible at this time. At least I will have the summer to try to get caught up. V.

Congratulations on your etsy shop, Kathleen, and best of wishes for immediate and continued success! Those tomatoes look so pretty. Ours are a long way off, but at least they're planted.

Awesome! What kind of job are you doing? I just got a job too. I have to juggle studying for (& hopefully passing) my license, learning the company products, being a good half to my man, etc. I understand!

When I went out to work I was more organized than I am now. I am retired now. Good luck with your job. I love the idea of growing my own vegetables. I haven't done that for a while. Time to start again.
