I love the picture on your header! Those are some happy things! I love seeing my chickens peck around the yard. It makes me happy when they see me and come running.
I love a rainy afternoon to take my time visiting with cherished blog friends like you. Your photos are beautiful and jog pleasant thoughts from years gone by. Always a pleasure to visit - enjoy your evening.
me again...I am on a blog break now but am working on a new blog that is "Mildred's Menagerie." The new URL address is http://mildredsmenagerie.blogspot.com if you would update your list. I sure cherish your friendship and blog visits. Thank you.
The simplist things in life make me happy. I love the first crow of a young rooster, he seems so shocked. The first gobble of a turkey. The first overnight snowfall when I get up and everything is white and quiet and I can go back to bed and snuggle. That is happiness to me. Kelly
Your pleasures bring to mind peace...and thankfulness for quiet blessings, and the ability to see them for the true blessings they are.
Many things make me happy, what comes right to mind though is sitting in my rocker on the porch , in the warm mid-morning sun and sipping coffee, knowing I do not have to go anywhere that day. And that mu husband is able to stay home all day too.
Love seeing W. Tex sights on your blog - happiness for me is going outside and looking up at the stars - He knows their name and mine too - makes me feel a part of the universe God created - I'm not an accident but a part of a plan.
I really like your new banner photo, Kathleen! Very pretty. I took some photos at our farm awhile back of a full rainbow, and couldn't get it all in one frame. Always good to read your posts and & comments - have a great week!
overcast, rain, autumn, sleeping in my warm bed with the window open to let cool crisp night air in, pumpkins, the holidays! oh i could go on and on and on!!!!!
Kathleen, This is such a beautiful posting of the pumpkins, chickens, and your farm. I always enjoy visiting your blog. Thanks for visiting my blog. Yes, we are having a lot of rain in Western NC, Northern Georgia, and Eastern TN. Atlanta, GA is flooded, and parts of my Western NC are flooded, too with rivers, streams, and creeks out of their banks. In Atlanta, they are really having it badly with flooding. But today here in my hometown, we are so very thankful for sunshine. It's been days and days of rain. Have a great week. Blessings, Brenda.
