My Cup Runneth Over

My life is simple........I don't own a new car.....I don't have a winning lottery check coming to me (since I don't play the lottery)..... I don't have an important career.....I don't wear expensive clothing.....I don't have a tractor to plow my farm.......to most it might look as if......
my cup looks pretty empty........
however.....my cup runneth over with things that money cannot buy.....

my cup runneth over with good coffee, a forbidden treat now and then........and then again....with a friend.......in hours of conversation..........

my cup runneth over with time......to think...to pray....to walk...to dive into things that wait for me......

my cup runneth over with creativity....imagination......plans......

my cup runneth over with laughter...joy.....love....and memories....

my cup runneth over with beauty of all that surrounds me and fills my world and simple life.
As I take a big drink from my overflowing cup......I know I am truly blessed.....
my cup runneth over with gratitude
How about you??? What do your cups run over with??? I always love to hear your thoughts!

Kathleen, you and I have evidently been drinking out of the same cup. I too am thankful for time. Time to have a ministry I could never have when I worked; time to complete fun projects. I'm thankful for the opportunity that God has given me to stay at home. He provides.

Hi Kathleen, What a beautiful post. There is so very much to be grateful for each and every day. I'm thankful for blog friends to visit from the comfort of my home. As you know, I have grandma's Virginia rose dishes and I'll think of you when I sip tea later on the porch from my cup and saucer just like yours.

Kathleen, what a beautiful post! And you've got it just exactly right - we are all so blessed in such a lot of ways, there's just no room to complain!
Hugs and kisses, Elaine

You are so creative, even if that was not your intent when you posted your "running over cup". I really am blessed to read your blog and I watch when you post something new. It is so very refreshing.

And yes, tho my posts lately sounds gloom - I am able to count my blessings - and they are many.

Oh this is just a wonderful post....you are truly blessed as am I. Realizing it's the simple pleasures in life that bring joy and knowing that most of the time they are in our own backyard leads to peace and contentment and both are priceless...hugs, Linda

I've recently started living my dream of having a few chickens, so my grandkids could know the joy of finding eggs. I cup does run over, and it sure helps to be reminded of it.

Kathleen, we all needed this reminder today! Thanks for making us look no further than our own surroundings to see all that the Father has blessed us with, and NOT outward at what others may have. We have today, we have our families, hopefully our health, and most of all we have the love of our Heavenly Father!

Beautiful post, Kathleen! My cup runs over with blessings too numerous to mention them all, but just for starters: the Lord who delights to call us His children; a wonderful, kind, loving husband; children who call me blessed; a wonderful life in the country far from the beaten path: a home-based business ( or 2 or 3)to meet our needs, and extra; and God's very nature, shown in all the marvelous works of His hands. And although I don't have time right now for my oil painting or my quilting, my cup overruns with the grace God has given me to fore-go that for a season. Have a blessed day!

My cup runneth over too! Thanks be to God. This is my first time to your blog and I get to see how your cup runs over too. That is such a good idea, using cups to picture things/blessings. Do you mind if I do a version of that on our blog? Please come by. I've got a Lemon tea bread recipe up today. Oh thanks for the blessing.

So funny! Just this morning I was thinking about how I choose my coffee cup according to mood or what I have to face in the day! This morning it was a mug. Tomorrow might be one of my beautiful blue and white china cups with saucer. Loved the photos of all the different cups! Blessings! Sheep C.

I just returned from an RV trip and came home with souvenir mugs which are piled on the table so I guess my cup runneth over.
