Butterflies.......every time I see them, I am instantly reminded of the verse in Romans 12:2........
the one about being transformed .........
I do not like change.......I'm happy and content for things to stay as is......
looking at a butterfly's cocoon, one would never know what beautiful creature awaits inside, until it transforms and comes out to spread it's beautiful wings. If it did not come out of it's comfortable cocoon, the world would be so cheated and not know how beautiful it really is.
So much good can come from change......like from this....
to this.
to this.
Sometimes change can occur so quickly....
and sometimes it's a slow process....
and sometimes it's a slow process....
there is a lot about myself I would love to transform.....
I would love for my hair to look like this.......
and for my lips to always look like this........
and for all of me to look like this......
And in all of my imperfection and flaws, I want to hide away from the world until I can become better, prettier, more acceptable.......
And then God sends a butterfly to remind me, to change my way of thinking and to bloom the way ........He wants me to....
and for my lips to always look like this........
and for all of me to look like this......
and these things can be changed..........
with a lot of work......
But there are some things that just cannot be changed no matter how much I wish for them, strive for them.....or chase after them....
God has the design and the whole pattern.....unchangeable...
His perfect plan.
And in all of my imperfection and flaws, I want to hide away from the world until I can become better, prettier, more acceptable.......
And then God sends a butterfly to remind me, to change my way of thinking and to bloom the way ........He wants me to....
How about you......do you find you want to change or transform? Do you accept change and look forward to the new outcome....or do you dread it , kicking and fighting it all the way? I would love to hear.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

wonderful post...thanks!
i like all the pictures that you add with your words as well :-)
Oh Kathleen, you and I are so alike...
When I read the post it was like you were looking into my head and heart!
I keep telling myself that I must remember what God thinks is beautiful but I still struggle with my image...
What a great post...thank you!
I couldn't ask for a nicer message on a Sunday morning, we are all so imperfect, but that was a perfect post. thank you.
Lovely post, Kathleen. Change is inevitable, I suppose. Some times it is a good thing and sometimes not. All of it is part of God's plan, though, whether we understand it or not. His vision is better than ours. Happy Sunday to you! :)
I am a good example of change! I look at old pictures and see a completely different person, physically .. the good thing about it ..my mind changed also..and for the better...I am a bit wiser..

Wonderful post, Kathleen!
Wise words! I think we all want to change for the better. We tend to be much harder on ourselves than we are on others. But, personally I think that if you are anything like Winnie the Pooh that means you are a wonderful and loyal friend, with a sweet and caring heart. I would take Winnie the Pooh over Barbie any day. :)
Awesome post! I'm a lot like pooh bear!
What a great post. I too am alot like Winnie The Pooh. I think I have more fun than Barbie Girl.
Hugs :)

that's one of my favorite verses to remind my children of as we head out the door for school. Jesus called us to be different, not like everyone else!
Love the pictures on your post. Barbie and Pooh made me giggle.
Sometimes, being conformed to the world just seems the easiest way to go , the transformation involves giving up the things and attitudes I have found comfort in......and it is easy to forget the bad things that conformation really brings....ahhh, sometimes being a cuddly Pooh bear is just plain comfortable, isn't it?
Kathleen - you asked a question on my blog so I figured I'd hop over here and give what little answer I have. DH and I designed our chicken coop to be quite sealed - although there is a big section open to the air - it is covered with the smallest mesh hardware cloth we could find. Snakes are drawn to coops not only for the eggs/chickens but because they are shelter from the heat and usually have a higher humidity level than your west Texas countryside. No other great advice - snakes are after chickens and eggs and it is hard to keep them out. Best to you - lovely post about transforming - we are all changing every day - might be wearing away on the outside but if we believe in Christ we are being renewed in the spirit!
You seem to anticipate my thoughts midway with those things we can transform with work and those we cannot with any amount of work.
I am an unusual sort in that I love change, if something new is going to happen I get very excited and nearly giddy, the bigger the change the more exciting. But I now have learned, by the grace of the Father's gentle hand and the determined teaching of the Holy Spirit, that there is great beauty in things that do not change. Some have had to learn to accept change and some of us have had to learn to accept sameness, see its beauty and embrace it.
Now you are talking my way. Thanks for the pictorial story of how God wants to work in us a far greater beauty that we can even imagine.
Great Post.
Hugs
Wow- what a thoughful post, Kathleen! Just beautiful.
And I'm a Pooh, too.
Wait- that didn't come out right. LOL
Such a nice post! I have always had a hard time with change. I guess I'm finally figuring out that life is constant change. Hope you have a nice week. ~Mandy
Good post!!
Yes, I want to be transformed. I've gotten better but I used to be reallyl bad to compare myself to others and think, if only I had, or looked, or lived a differnet live or had a different whatever.
God is helping me with this.
I long to be what He wants me to be cause tryign to be the person I want to be-well, I've really messed up on that.
Kathleen,
What a blessing your wonderful posting gave me today! I love the photos, I love the wonderful words you wrote. This really gave me the encouragement I needed today. Thank you. Blessings!
Very well done! Thank you so much!

Just beautiful!! And soooo right!
Oh Kathleen- I don't like change either!! What a wonderful post, and such great reminders...just what I needed today. Thank you!
Blessings,
Pam
What a good message, Kathleen. Change is hard. Sometimes I think I'm very open to change and like to be thought of that way, but when it comes right down to it, I back off. Takes me awhile to come around. As far as me personally, I'm alot more Pooh-ish than I used to be and it's getting harder to look in the mirror. My job changed positions about 6 months ago, and I didn't like it at first, but then I realized that God put me in a much better situation than I was in. Good post -
