For us, there is no snow piling up....just wonderful days in the 80's.
Things have started sprouting and blooming in the greenhouse. I have spent the past couple of weeks potting and planting seeds in cups and pots. I have also started planting in the vegetable garden.
For the past several weeks, I have noticed this lizard darting in and out while I am watering in the greenhouse. It has gotten so used to me that I was able to reach down and pick it up today....I think we were both surprised!{:
It is so dry outside that it is willing to put up with me just to be able to get a drink. I will have to give it a good name. ! Do any of you have any good lizard names? I would love to hear them!! One might just fit this lizard!
My miniature daffodils are sprouting...... I can't wait to see their cheery blossoms.

The pine trees are still ....slowly growing....
As you may have noticed... I use a lot of Styrofoam cups to plant seeds in. They are so durable and easy to remove young plants from....plus they don't cost a lot of $$.
My shelves are starting to fill up! I can't wait for things to sprout.
I want to grow lettuce inside of the greenhouse this year....good for keeping bug free and dirt free. These wood frames have been lying around the grounds for a while.....sweetie won't miss a couple or so.

A light piece of wood on the bottom with a crack and a few holes for drainage....
and I am ready to plant the lettuce!
I haven't forgotten my garden journal I told you all about....speaking of such....have you all started yourselves one yet.... I can't wait to see and hear!

Larry the Lizard!
He looks like a Fred to me. Lizards are such strange looking creatures, but are so helpful eating bugs. I like to watch them change colors. Hugs, Rosemarie
If it's a girl...Lizzy the Lizard! if it's a boy, Littleton the Lizard. Lol! Wow, I didn't realize how many pets you had! I cannot believe how old your cockatiel is! Shows you are a great mommy! :)
Kathlee am so envious.. I wish it was warm enough to plant something..It has rained toda y, snowed today & the sun is now shining temporarily.
Leo is a good name for the Lizard.. if its a boy.. of girl.. Lena would be nice..
Have a great week....
Cheryl
What a little cutie the lizard is! You're making me jealous of your planting! We still have a LOT longer to wait up here!
About the end of next week i will plant early peas, onions, lettuce, spinach and other garden greens. I have 2 grapevines to put in and 10more raspberries coming. I keep watching for me asparagu and rhubarb to show their heads!
I agree with Cheryl and vote for Leo and Lena
As a matter of fact I have named a lizard~ a very large iguana that hubby happened to find and rescue here in southern CA~ we named him Iggy! I am not fond of large lizards and we found him a good home!
I also have a dog named Sophie and I love to garden and stitch!
We have much in common!
Have a blessed day!
Whoops me again!
For some reason my blog url isn't working...
So I am hoping that this time it does!
I like Sylvester or Leonard. I haven't planted anything yet. I did order some seeds, can you believe it! I just have to wait patiently for them to get here. Or impatiently.
I think he should be named Godzilla. How big is your greenhouse? We will be planting real soon now that the weather is starting to warm up.
Hugs :)
Irma
Great garden projects. Reminds me I need to order my onion plants since my starts didn't make it through flu and lambing season.
Bet had a leopard gecko named Sméagol. How about Lipps, Lounge, Dwayne...
Or if it is a girl, Liza, Linnea...MMMM I'll sick my girls on this one they're the namers around here.
I woke up this morning with this thought in my head... Today is the Day! I get to start planting... I am completely excited about it:-)
I have started a garden journal thanks to you and I am enjoying it very much.
Lets see a good lizzard name....hummmm, what about Lucinda or Lucas?
BTW I LOL at your "Bird, What bird?" post... that sounds like something my Tigger would do!
Rhonda
I so enjoy coming and visiting with you!!!!
I just love these little critters, and have many that just hang around on my porch and in my plants..Thanks for sharing.

Mary the lizard. I picked that name becaues evry bodys name starts with L why is that?
80's how I can only imagine!!! No, no planting here until Memorial day!!! I must admit, I could live w/ friendly little lizards like that! Lloyd, maybe?
It's so wonderful to see things blooming, Kathleen... it's been so cold here, but I keep dreaming of warmer days to come.
As far as the lizard- I would name him Ricardo Montalban and call him "Rico" for short! LOL
80 degree weather! Whew! Right now I'm excited b/c our temps are in the 50s!
I agree with Dirt Princess, I like Izzie the Lizard!!
And once we start planting, I really do hope to start a garden journal!!
I go for Lizzie the Lizard :o).....I like that idea of the cups...cheap enough and perfect for the job.The seedlings have a good place to start growing.
Ginny
I loved seeing all your growing things, Kathleen. It is much too early to be doing any planting outside here.
I'd name the lizard, Leonard. HA! :D
We have two or had two lizards.
One a bearded dragon..Max.
and now a chamelon named Philbert.
Both named by my son who swore he would take care of them...lol
No planting here yet, well, we did get a few rose bushes in the ground, does that count? We had an iguana, she just passed away a little under a year ago. She lived for fifteen years. Her name was Harley, til we found out he was a she, lol, then we named her Dragon. My daughter named her. Cool that you can pick the lizard up...I love lizards. :)
Love the lizard! I have some like that around my house in the summer-they hide under my steps when I come out the door-not as brave as your little friend! Love all the gardening you're doing. Almost warm enough for lettuce and onions here. I have seedlings started too-can't wait for putting them in the garden!
I am thoroughly hungry for a salad now!!!
