Kathleen, I share your joy, we are truly blessed..I don't have all the country I'd like , but God saw fit to place me here and here is where I shall call home, and thank God that it's still quiet here and we have some peace..and I have a garden in my "Almost an Acre Farm"
(make believe farm) I'm still going to get that cement Pig..Blessing,Ginny
Happy Countriversary! I, too, am very grateful to have moved to the country. We moved here the 1st of last October. It is so much more peaceful and friendly here.
It is so wonderful for you to be able to enjoy nature and peaceful surroundings every day, Kathleen. What a special occasion for you to celebrate. Happy first day of fall and happy anniversary! Here's wishing you many more. :D
Amen, we share the same thoughts, when it comes to the tranquility of country living. God has answered our prayers as well, and placed us on these 40 plus acres where beauty is all around us. From the trees changing to many different colors, during this time of year, to the morning fog covering the fields, in the early morning hours. We are so fortunate and thankful!
You are so right-living in the country is true blessing!
I'm reminded all the time of how glad I am to be back out in the country. No controlling neighbors, no petty arguments... just people living and wanting their neighbors to be friends. The country life is definitely for me!
What a beautiful painting you posted for such a beautiful time of year - I really celebrate the first day of Fall. LOVE IT! Happy country anniversary!! I can't wait for the day when we are fulltime!
Thank you so much for putting into words what I feel every morning and evening (well, and all the time inbetween).
Oh, today was a beautiful fall day here in Washington ! This is my favorite season and we named our daughter 'Autumn', and yes...she was born in the Autumn.I love pretty much everything about the fall season . Thank-you for reminding me of the blessings I too have because I live in the country ! KathyB.
I certainly agree with the preference of country over the city or even small town. I did giggle a little though when I thought about the singing coyotes, I think my family has personally suffered more at the hands (teeth) of the coyotes than the gang bangers that prowled our nearly inner city neighborhood. But at least I can shoot the coyotes - or at least try.
Enjoy your fall days, we are enjoying ours here. It is my absolute, hands down, favorite season.
Oh, Kathleen........
I am just so happy for you! I'm sorry to hear how bad your old neighborhood was, though. I thought we had it kind of bad in our old neighborhood.....
You are truly, incredibly blessed and you are so thankful -- probably more so because of where you were before (do you think?) I think it's so sweet of you to remember the One who has blessed you so.
I tagged you over at my blog. I hope that you'll want to play?
How are your pumpkins and trees doing? You know that I'm living vicariously through you, til I can plant mine.... :*)
Nlessings,
Julie
