I think the most endearing thing about pets, especially dogs, is the look they have in their eyes. So much can be seen when we speak to our dogs. "I love you,.. where you go, I want to go... I'm so glad to see you!..., would you please stop teasing me....., I'm sorry, don't be mad..., and so much more can be seen without them saying a word! How can one resist such sweetness?

Hi~ I wandered over here from Flower's blog and just wanted to say hi. As I read your post I was watching a show on National Geographic about dogs and how they respond to their humans - through their eyes. Dogs are very good at reading our eyes. I love the pic of your dog and her eyes - too cute.
Or as with me, "Hey, you're weird and you scare me to death!" lol
Kathleen - you're exactly right about our "babies". Whoever said dogs can't really communicate never had a dog! My babies speak to me all the time. Sounds like you've been busy with your garden. All I've got left is some late producing tomato plants. Don't know why they waited so long to start producing, but I'm trying to keep them alive during all this heat. Are you going to have a fall garden or just your greenhouse? Wish I had one... sigh
So sweet!! And yes I love my dog's eyes.
It's like they know something we don't know and forget all the garbage we do that isn't loving. What is the old Texas saying "Lord please make me the kind of person my dog believes I am already"?

Awww, what a sweet face... Sophie's eyes are like my Smokey... you can really tell what he's thinking (and feeling) through his eyes.
Sophie's eyes are beautiful....I just love looking into animals eyes....they are just so trusting.
