It is the time of year that all of the flowers on the grounds are blooming their best........

but it seems that the rose moss is the most eye catching with it's assorted colors.

I have it planted everywhere.........in every area.......in just about anything that will hold it.

This year I am growing my tomatoes in containers on the patio..........
as a way to out smart the hungry critters that get to them before I do.

They are filled with tiny green balls all over.

Though the ground looks tired........the black eyed peas are growing well.........

and so are the pumpkins.  I will have zinnias to show to you a little later.

Best of all..........we have gotten 3 days of heavy rain. The farmers fields look like ponds and every thing is soaking it in.

For those of you who do not know that I have an embroidery blog, Yesteryear Embroideries and I have just opened my vintage shop Yesteryear..........
I have given these 4 old chairs a new life..........using my cross stitch embroidery and some very bright paint.
I hope to sell these in my shop.
You can read about these and my shop on my embroidery blog by clicking onto this link
So tell me..........are you growing wonderful things in your gardens?
Are you getting plenty of rain..........or too much?
I would love to hear!

So thankful for your good rains! I'm having a little trouble getting rose moss started in my container. I do love its variety of colors and the fact that it will produce many seeds for the coming year; I like to save seeds from my flowers. We have tomatoes in the garden that have grown almost too big to put cages around them; always a busy, busy time here.

Rose moss is my hubby's favorite flower. It does well here in the hot summer. I love what you've done to the chairs. We cut the ivy around the house to the ground, so in the bare spots I have planted tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers!

You call them rose moss... we refer to them as portulaca up here.
Bright vibrant colours on those chairs and with your lovely needlework on the backs they re bound to lift one's spirits when they enter the room.

The rain has been lovely, hasn't it? We're getting more today. Our rain barrels are full and running over, and the growing things look absolutely jungle-like here. I'm trying to soad up as much of this as I can. Summer is hovering much too closely.... Those chairs are magnificent!

I love rose moss for their bright colors, and I love those chairs for the same reason. I bet those will sell quickly. They are so pretty with your embroidery added on. It looks like everything in your garden is doing quite well. :)

hi Kathleen, first off, I love your chairs! Then I have been yearning for some moss rose. It is an old fashioned bloom that always makes me think of my home, it was cheap and could be grown from seed so we had lots of it. You have been really busy.

Your garden is doing wonderfully well! I picked my first tomato yesterday...tomatoes have been one of my biggest challenges here because of the intense heat.

I adore those trees you show so much. They are so beautiful. It's interesting to me to see the color of your dirt-it's so different from ours. You do a great weeding job! I'm so glad you've had rain. We've had it every week-it looks like a rain forest here.
