I had some Giant Swallowtail caterpillars eating my little lemon tree and I so hoped I see the transformation into butterflies, since I was donating the leaves to my small tree! But they disappeared, and I don't know if birds ate them or what. I would LOVe to be in the monarch migration route. So wonderful!

Yes, we went on a cruise to Catalina Island CA and then down to Ensenada Mexico. I did several posts. Scroll back a ways if you get some time to see them on my blog. I wrote an article about the monarchs a few years ago - they are an amazing and beautiful butterfly. I occasionally see them here in my neck of the woods. I have noticed the squirrels are very active gathering acorns and the walnuts. The trees are beginning to turn and the nights are getting cooler. Fall is definitely on it's way. Yea, my favorite time of the year.
