Two others were just hatching out and Mother Hen left the nest and they got too cold to survive. We aren't getting eggs yet so it would be the chickens themselves at risk. Had a cougar kill one of our goat kids recently - unnerving since we are only a couple of miles from town and have neighbors all around.
