The baby foxes have been playing like crazy but I haven’t seen them in a few days — it might be too hot. Bam, the little girl is so cute and so little. Brother Boo is bigger and a little crazy but they love each other. I hope they haven’t moved on permanently. Oompa Loompa the big orange cat is AWOL and Big Ugly the possum is staying away too. So, it has been quiet. We could use a little rain here, it's been dry...although maybe I'm tempting fate after our last storm! We have volunteer pumpkins growing like crazy and bee balm is just starting to bloom along with tiger lillies. The weather is warm but we have a cool breeze from the north...so grateful for it. I would love to have that enlarged and framed...it is beautiful, and touches my heart. There is a lizard that looks a lot like yours who lives in the garden. He watches me. A couple of frogs too that sit in one of the flower pots. They are my reason for leaving a little dish of water in the hot garden. In spite of our hot dry summer, we are getting tomatoes, peppers, and green beans from the garden. Can not get zinnias to grow this summer. Hoping for more rain the rest of the week. We haven't had any exotic visitors, just the usual - squirrels and cats and dogs! But there is a gorgeous orb weaver spider who's been living between two tomato plants.Elaine/Muddling Throughhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07542943000832182111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1755931701182556976.post-42252596422290099842022-06-28T16:39:23.197-07:002022-06-28T16:39:23.197-07:00I did have two chipmunks that I enjoyed watching, ...I did have two chipmunks that I enjoyed watching, but me thinks a snake moved in and ate them now. UGH When we first brought our Tundra puppy home, I had a flock of vultures circle above our house. I would not leave him alone in the yard as I thought they would kill him. I do have a couple tomatoes now on my plant. Looking forward to some homegrown. We, on the other hand, needed sunshine, and had 3 days of sunshine with very high temperatures. Well, for our area it was high but I'm quite sure it wouldn't be considered hot in Texas. I like your cute lizard friend; and the interesting moth ( that I had never heard of).
My tomatoes are just now setting fruit. We almost never have ripe tomatoes before the end of July. Right now the only thing we're eating from the garden is lettuce and green onions.
I like your pretty pink Zinnia. It rains so often this year. We get a few days of rain and a few days of sun and the pattern repeats itself. Such strange weather. The garden and weeds are growing so fast. Visitors to our gardens have been groundhogs deers and skunks. I'm sure the raccoons also have come at night. They do so much damage. My peonies are almost finished blooming and now the Sundrop yellow flowers are in full bloom. I still haven't had time to plant all my annual flowers. Weeding and planting veggies have taken a lot of my time and priorities.

Take care,
Hugs,
JuliaJuliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03423754263165266554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1755931701182556976.post-11495182635930828282022-06-28T11:20:58.105-07:002022-06-28T11:20:58.105-07:00It was great to see that downpour, Kathleen, after...It was great to see that downpour, Kathleen, after knowing about the very hot weather you have been going through. I have tomatoes that have set on, but my cucumber blooms and blooms and not one single cucumber has set on. I don't know how the tomatoes got pollinated because I see no bees at all. Well, I finally saw one on the clover. And I set out there and watch and watch. Not one single bee of any kind on my coneflowers. It is kind of scary. Once the coneflowers start blooming, I can usually see at least one bee of some sort on them anytime I look. Most times the little type of bumblebee...but also regular honeybees visit them too.

We need rain...we had a sprinkle over the weekend but not enough to help anything.
