Sad to listen and see the news events about weather causing such death and destruction in other parts of the U.S. If we were closer, we would surely be one of your egg customers as we used to buy them fresh when living in NJ. No young'uns at home and even the baby robins have fledged and left the nest so we are definitely empty nesters.Beatrice P. Now that's a Yellow Rose of Texa...Hey Kathleen! Now that's a Yellow Rose of Texas if I ever saw one! Beautiful!

Glad you got some much-needed rain, too. I hope to have chickens (how many times have I said that) as soon as I get to the farm fulltime. I want to be able to do that, too, sell eggs. A friend of mine has quite a few chickens, and she makes enough from her egg sales that she can buy feed for all her critters - a calf to feed out, 4-5 goats, 2 pigs, all the chickens and 4 labs! Plus, they get all the eggs they can eat, too. I'm glad you're becoming known in your area for egg sales - I'd much rather have home-grown eggs than store-bought ones. I've been buying from my friend for several years now.

My nest will be empty this summer - first time ever. Daughter is staying in her college town (she has a boyfriend), oldest son still in NAshville, middle son just got married. It'll sure be different! I'm sure we'll see them for visits, but the days of them coming home are winding down to a close! Hope you have a wonderful family-filled Memorial Day weekend!Vickiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07741431727993692456noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1755931701182556976.post-88831848171099031192011-05-24T11:49:25.720-07:002011-05-24T11:49:25.720-07:00Oh, so glad you got rain, I know how you all have ...Oh, so glad you got rain, I know how you all have needed it. We too need it, none in over a month. The grass I worked so hard on is burned, just springs of brown. We cant water but I am able to water some sod we had put on a hill, at least its thriving.
