But I've had a patch cleared against a...Roses! But I've had a patch cleared against a sunny fence; If I plant pumpkins this week I can still have them by fall. One year I planted the big flat french pumpkins and got loads of huge ones, I like to harvest them with along stem and leaves still attached. Its cool here mostly (Central coast of CA.) but if I find just the right spot I can grow vegetables.
