I'm not rushing Summer out the door...................

I'm welcoming Autumn in!...............

I have been gathering my small harvest

of fairy tale pumpkins

and decorative gourds

of all shapes, sizes, and colors

and placing them everywhere on the porches

my potted marigolds are still young at the moment but I hope
they will soon grow and fill out the pot  more.
How about you?  What is the weather like in your
corner of the world?
Are you soggy with rain?..........hot and dry?
or are the days feeling more like Autumn?
I would love to hear!

Your pumpkins and gourds are so pretty and colorful. We are finally having a bit of cooler weather this week so that it is starting to feel more like autumn.

Love all the pretty colors!

A bit rainy here in my part of FL. Will be glad when hurricane season is over. :)

I've been so behind lately. I've enjoyed looking back at your posts. That young Bobcat you posted is so beautiful, it was hard to stop looking at the pictures! I love what you do with the rocks you pick up. I've always been a rock collector too and my husband and I collect arrowheads. I don't actually have a rock collection, but I'm always looking for unusual rocks You have a great blog!.

Your pumpkins and gourds are beautiful. I think I will just have to plant some gourds next year. How big is that fairytale pumpkin and does it run everywhere. I'm so glad you have lots of room to plant things. The city squirrels destroy anything like that on my porch , glad you can decorate like that too.

I haven't planted gourds for a few years because they take up so much space, but when I see yours it makes me think that maybe I will again next year. Here (Ontario) it is rainy and still quite warm. The temperatures are going down at night, though. -Jenn

I admit I wait until the first of October to decorate for Fall. I DID buy two HUGE mums to put on the porch but the bees swarmed them and we couldn't use the front doors so back to the bond they went. I used to put pumpkins out but the squirrels eat them. I'm OK with that, but then you get fruit flies swarming. Sometimes you welcome the first frost, lol.

Such beautiful photos! I love the green frog in the last photo...I need to buy all our decorations this year. My gourds didn't grow. This year I didn't have room for pumpkins-hoping next year I will.
Our weather is a bit cooler. Been having 90's and HUMID. Ug. But I think it's supposed to be cooler and more fall-like the end of this week. A few spots of tree color here and there....it smells like fall.

Here in Houston, we are all of the above! Often on the same day. It was really beautiful this morning, now it is blistering hot. Yesterday we had storms.

I do love seeing your pretty little pumpkins and gourds displayed so nicely.

The pumpkins are so colorful, Kathleen, and I know you will be doing a lot of decorating for fall, mwhich arrived here this week. We have had cool evenings and sunny days this week, but could use some rain. The fall colors may not be as spectacular as in previous years due to a lack of rainfall.

Wow!! What a terrific gourd harvest! Perfect for fall decorating. We still have very warm days, that have been dry, but two good rains have made things look bright again. The hay baling is almost finished ~ Good!!
