I am recovering from a spider bite-----

a brown recluse spider bite...........
it has been painful.........but I am doing well
My best advice to you dear readers...........go to the doctor
the minute you have been bitten.
I was told this as well...........but I waited a few days to see
if it would clear up on it's on...........then I really had to go to the doctor.
But I still love nature..........and all of the creatures that she consists of
and all of the elements of nature.
On long walks with Sophie, I often pick up pretty rocks. Some I toss into my
gardens.......some I keep for projects like this.
I titled this piece.........."Moonlight Serenade"
One late afternoon.........a lone coyote was howling very loudly......

this inspired me to create a coyote/wolf sitting on a ledge

howling at the moon

I am always amazed at how beautiful rocks are.
They are so worthy to be looked at and appreciated.
Do you collect rocks?.............shells?........buttons?
I would love to hear

I'm sorry about the bite; that happened to someone else I know and really waited too long to see the doc; he ended up in the hospital and surgery! Take care.

You are lucky that the damage wasn't worse from your bite-I've know several gals who were bitten by them and were hospitalized because of the tissue damage. I once was bitten by a spider(don't know what kind)but the skin around the bite turned to blood blisters and also black. It was horrid and I lost feeling in that part of my hand. Hope you heal quickly. Love your rock picture.
Hugs,
Noreen

I see these kinds of spiders often and have a fear of them. There are some places where we know they can be found and take care when moving boxes, etc. I'm wondering, were you outside or inside when you got bit? I also have a respect for black widow spiders!

That sounds horrible, but am glad you are getting better. We have black widows around our house but so far no one has been bitten. Those rocks are beautiful, you made a very pretty and unique picture with them!

I really like the rock art you are making. It takes me right back to the 70s. I'm telling you, I am having my own share of bites and stings this year...horned by a catfish, wasp stings, unknown flying bug bite that got infected. Sorry you got bit. Brown recluse are a menace.
xx, Carol

I am glad you are okay. I don't know if Michigan has those spiders but did you see it bite you? Just curious. Love the picture, very nice.

Oh, Kathleen, I am so sorry about the spider bite. I've heard they can be very dangerous. I'm so glad you are all right. Your rock art piece is perfect! I love it. And yes, I like rocks. My favorite is one a friend brought back from Israel for me.

Sorry to hear about your spider bite.
I really like what you've created with your pretty rocks. I have a huge glass bowl full of rocks, mostly polished ones and a couple of bowls with more rocks including my fav. which is a purple geode. I think my love of rocks has rubbed off on my little grandson because he now collects them too. I've never thought of making a picture using rocks.

Adding my good wishes to a full recovery Kathleen. The stone art is very creative and I agree that we tend to overlook the beauty in many things, especially those beneath our feet. No, I do not collect anything special, but great fun looking for bargains in thrift stores.
