This is the time of year that we have many feathered friends fly in to visit us

My hands are busy with the garden and embroidery work and there is not much of any thing new to write about this week. So I will leave you some photos of our feathered and winged friends with some quotes.
What kind of colorful visitors do you have?
I would love to hear!
Use what talent you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best.

Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them? ~Rose F. Kennedy

A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song.

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

What would the world be, once bereft
Of wet and of wildness? Let them be left,
O let them be left, wildness and wet;
Long live the weeds and the wilderness yet.

I love love your photos and the quotes are great. Birds are awesome. I just love to watch them. Spring is a wonderful time to enjoy our many feathered friends. We have robins, blue jays, cardinals, wrens, mourning doves, bluebirds, and many others. Great posting!

You have birds I've never seen here before, very pretty. Yesterday, I took a photo of 2 buzzards sitting on a dead tree limb. They weren't pretty
but, even they have their charm!

Oh my, Kathleen, what a lot of beautiful visitors you have! I've never seen some of those - they are so colorful and I do love your quotes with each picture. You are a bit of poet yourself.

Lovely photos ! I am a birdie nut lol I love wild birds . We have lots of song birds here about 15 different species and I just discovered a new one in the yard a Yellow Warbler . I had been hearing him for a few days but could not see him in the trees but today I was able to get photos of him as he popped in sight for a few minuets ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !

Indeed, you do have beautiful bird friends. I guess my favorite bird is the mockingbird; it sings day and also night, when the moon is bright. There is a crow that follows me from one chicken house to another, even flying down to the RTV and looking inside buckets to see if there's anything inside to eat. I've named it Edgar Allen Crow. :)

Quite a variety of bird life and poetry and all enjoyable, Kathleen. Our bird assortment includes lots of robins this year, cowbirds, mockingbirds, and the unwelcome starlings and grackles.
