A splash of bright cheery yellow grows among

the brown and gray stillness of the grounds,
and catches my attention each time I walk about.

The Italian Jasmine is now in full bloom and full of buzzing honey bees.

I love this heirloom plant and how it gracefully drapes over the stone yard wall..

The wind blows it's cheery petals all along the walk way.

I hope some day to meet God, because I want to thank Him for the flowers.
 ~Robert Brault

I always think upon this quote when I see cheery flowers like this.
How about you?
Are you underneath snow?
Or is a blanket of flowers showing themselves to you?
I would love to hear!

I live up here in Maine... we are getting up to 2 feet of snow in the next 24 hours. I still think its beautiful though.
I love spring and summer, but i also enjoy winter.

I wonder what that lovely jasmine smells like?

We are still months away from this - but I love hearing you describe it. I long for bees.

Out here on the West Coast , the freesias are just budding out and the camellia too. I noticed new buds on the geraniums, all in tact even after hail yesterday!
That yellow jasmine is so pretty.

I have never heard of this plant before, but what a gift of gold, especially for the bees during this time of the year.

It seems like I've been watching extra closely this year to see the flowers start popping up!

I love the yellow flowers... and set against the dark and dreary of the area around them, it makes them seem even more cheerful!

Early blooms are like the earnest money of more on the way, aren't they? Love seeing them!

Oh I just love your jasmine. We had a gorgeous planting that trailed up the fence but it's days were over a couple years ago. I guess it just came to the end of it's life. I sure miss it though and need to plant another. My camillias are blooming and today I noticed the hydrangea are popping up with some green sprouts. It was so nice to walk in the garden after being so sick with the flu. I am better but very weak yet.
Have a great week and enjoy the spring blooms.
hugs, Celestina Marie

I can only imagine the fragrance coming from that bush.

YES, I do hope and pray to meet the lord soon, not only to thank him for the beauty he created for us but for Jesus coming to this earth to die for our sin and to save us.

No snow here, Kathleen, but we have lots of rain and mud on the VA eastern shore at this time of year. The daffodils are trying hard to bloom but getting fooled with some chilly nights and then warm days.

Oh that jasmine is just gorgeous. When I was in Charleston, SC a few years back I fell in love with the confederate jasmine. Is this the same? Would love to grow it here in Illinois, but it would never survive unfortunately.
