The prairie has come to life

with colors of blue, yellow,

orange, red, and brown.

The vibrant blossoms and the buzzing bees make these early spring days
a joy to  be outside.............

and when work calls me inside..............I bring some of that
outside
in!
How about you?
Have you been gathering spring bouquets?

Oh, I love that last pic of your beautiful bouquet and open Bible! My husband brought in a bouquet of white dogwoods earlier; they are one of my favorite spring blooms. Your prairie is alive with color!

I haven't been bringing flowers in...but my hubby does. We take walks together at times, though I can't walk his 10 miles!!! So after I head home he continues on and brings me the prettiest flowers. Not sure where he gets them so I hope the neighbors don't mind. Though there is that wisteria I did pick last week or so;-)

I can imagine how wonderful it is to look out and see spring smiling back at you.

blessings, jilly

Just nothing like a wildflower bouquet, is there, Kathleen??? My husband has sent me roses and other bouquets through the years, but the one that I remember and cherish the most was the time he stopped on the side of the highway and picked me a wildflower bouquet, kept it watered and brought it home to me. So sweet! He got lots of brownie points for that one!

Such beautiful blossoms! It is like it's come to life! My littlest has brought me some flower-like weeds which I love and put in vases!

I haven't gathered anything yet, although I was tempted to cut a few lilac blooms. Tiger swallowtail butterflies are really enjoying the bushes in bloom.

Hi Kathleen! So glad to see beautiful flowers on your post today - and trust that your property was unaffected by the terrible weather in parts of Texas. My thoughts and prayers go out to all...

Yes, yes, yes! I love to bring flowers inside so I can enjoy them even more.

Those are some mighty pretty Texas ones you have there!

Mother Nature, the master gardener, has truly been at work with the prairie wildflowers. I love how you incorporate this beauty in your embroidery.

Isn't it great when spring comes around???? It came early here in Florida, and it was so good to see the first flowers pop out! I love your bouquet and the Bible sitting there. Just a beautiful setting!!!

Aside fron daffodils and lily of the valley, we don't have many garden blooms yet. I enjoy walking around the yard to find new discoveries in the wildflowers growing in the lawn such as dandelions, chickweed, field madder and speedwell but are not blooms I would bring indoors, but still very colorful to behold.
