I am taking part in

Monday's Cottage Garden Party............so forgive me if some of these photos are repeats.......

Even though it has gotten much warmer here in Texas,

the cotton fields lie bare and in wait of planting,

the woods are still dry and asleep,

and it seems that even the yard Lantana is still in winter's slumber................

but if you come closer and have a look deep within,
you will see it springing to life............

even some of the thorniest and most prickly native plants
are showing off their blooms

and buds.

Closer to the home grounds, pots of flowers are budding,

 blooming,

buzzing,

and filling the whole area with the most fragrant smells, which the prairie wind catches and blows across the way.  Life is sprouting and springing here on Pleasant Prairie Farm.
How about you?
What is budding, blooming and buzzing in your area?
I would love to hear!

I always enjoy seeing the blooms in other places! Here in Louisiana it is really warm and Spring is popping up everywhere! Azaleas, dogwoods, fruit trees, daffodils have been blooming. I have rosebuds about to open this week. My hostas are poking through the ground, as well as lilies. It's one of my favorite times of the year!

I'm amazed at what's blooming here now. We're at least 2 or 3 weeks early. I have daffodils, forsythia & Bradford pear still hanging on. Creeping phlox, lilac, pansies, viola, redbud, service berry are all bursting. Iris, clematis, dogwood & roses are covered in buds. They'll be open soon if we don't get a frost - which we often do as late as the end of April. I'm in northwest Arkansas by the way. :o)

Your prairie is looking so beautiful. I love the flowers blooming, new life springing forth from the earth. I love the sights and smells of spring, too. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos with us. I love to see how spring is arriving in other parts of the country.

Many of the plants are looking a bit wilted around here from the dust. All my plants certainly need a good washing. You sure are blessed to to be smack dab in the middle of the great outdoors. Have a wonderful week. Tammy

Hi Kathleen! I love your part of Texas - it has its own brand of beauty! My lantana is coming out already, the azaleas and dogwoods are going nuts, the fruit trees are about done blooming and are setting little tiny fruits, the bluebonnets are up around our area. I'm getting my garden. I LOVE spring - I love renewal and another chance to BLOOM! Your blooms are beautiful - I love that purple stuff...

Looks like Spring is coming to your area too. In my location of Texas we are the same. Last night we had severe thunderstorms with lots of lightening. Still gloomy but the rain finally stopped.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment. I have so enjoyed my visit and now a new follower too.
Happy Spring.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
