The fruit trees out in the orchard

are starting to bud and bloom...........
yes..........that's right...........I finally have my orchard planted!
I have plum, pear, peach, apple, and apricot trees!
I can't wait to see them start growing and producing fruit!

Along the edge of the orchard grounds, the fragrant stock flower has blossomed.

Such a beautiful flower in both color and fragrance. One can smell them across the yard when walking up to the orchard.

They remind me of vintage floral cards of yesteryear.............
don't you think?

It looks like I am not the only one who has spotted the trees and the flowers.
I have to admit............he is colorful in this world
of brown and grey!
How about you??
Any fruit trees budding?
Any little critters hopping along?
I would love to hear!

The stock flowers are beautiful! We don't have an orchard (that would be nice), but my husband just planted 4 blueberry bushes. We also have 2 plum trees, which had delicious fruit last year - and a peach tree. We always have figs - until the birds and squirrels find them. I love to watch these bushes and trees bud, bloom and produce!

Everything here is still buried under 2 feet of snow. It's great looking at your pictures though.

Your flowers are lovely. I've been trying my hand at an orchard also but have lost a couple of trees. I'll try again. Of course, we do well with citrus but I really want a fig.

Your orchard sounds so exciting, Kathleen! I hope you have a bounty of fruit from it very soon.
We have lots of buds and blooms starting, so I'm hoping we don't have any more cold spells.

I would Love to plant some more Flowers that are fragrant ..what would I look for if I went to buy them and do they have them in the Midwest. I always buy the Purple Petunias for Billy...He loves the smell but I found out that you have to make sure they smell since not all of them do. And then of course I always have a Rose Garden..I love that smell out in the yard when I sit on my swing on a nice day.

I'm so surprised to see the flowers in bloom already! Good luck with your orchard; hopefully we won't go through another dry summer.

I am always amazed that we live in the same country but have completely different weather, and often, plant life. Here you have blooming plants and are planting, we had snow again today. I think the grasshoppers know just where to live!

Yes, Ma'am! We are busting out all over! Our fruit trees are flowering and the allergy season has begun! haha!

Stock flowers are beautiful - I guess they are perennials - I need to get some of those - such a pretty violet color, and yes, they DO look like the flowers on old vintage cards! Have a wonderful almost-spring day, Kathleen!

Our fruit trees are not yet blooming, but with the 70 degree weather and loads of rain we have had this week, they may be early this year. The flowers looked lovely, Kathleen.
