Snow usually does not last long

in the part of Texas that I am in..................
( our home looks like a winter wonderland..........don't you think?)

however, we managed to get 6 inches in one day................
Every thing was covered and we are just now seeing the last of the snow melt away.

As  you know, I love old fence posts...........
you can see where the snow blew in from the north on this one.  Today, we have sunny skies,
and it looks like it will stay this way for the weekend and into next week.
How about you?
Are you still under snow, rain, or deep cold??
Or do you have sunny skies?
I would love to hear.

FREEZING here most of the week and more snow last night. But that is Nebraska. Hard to believe this has lasted that long in TX. Hope you are enjoying it?

Awesome beauty you have there, I love the post and the snow just stuck to one side.

Send some here!

Well it is nearly 50 degrees here but it has been cold. Earlier in the week it has been warm closer to 60. We had rain and now seasonal temps in CT.

The northern part of the state got snow the shoreline not so much just flooding.

We're cool here but nothing radical; we had just a slight dusting of snow one evening but by morning it was gone. Snow can turn the most plain things into something beautiful, even old decayed fence posts.

I didn't realize you could have dust piled up in your yard for a time and then this much snow. Ahh-the wonders of nature.

Hi Kathleen, These are lovely pictures. Here in GA, we have had so much rain in the past 2 weeks. Last Christmas, we had snow - unusual for us but it was pretty. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas. Mildred

Lovely looking scene... it's cold here, freezing fog, tomorrow is a total eclipse of the moon just before sunrise... hoping for clear skies...

Isn't snow just magical? Whether a mesquite grove or a piney wood, it becomes a place of beauty covered in snow. What could be nicer for getting you in a holiday spirit!

You DID get a lot of snow. It's been cold here, too, but not much falling from the sky.

The snow is beautiful! We are still waiting on our first one...we had a dusting on the ground yesterday when we first awoke but it didn't last the day. We do have cold air, however.

It looks freezing cold to me Brrrr! Wish I could fix you a cup of hot Tea or chocolate while you sit in the warm house and look out the window and snub your nose up at the cold :o)

No snow here but it is VERY cold..I can't believe I still have 1 pot of Petunias blooming here in central IL..They must be protected real good. Snow looks pretty on Christmas and hides a lot in the yard but I am always happy to see spring :)

Wow, six inches seems like a lot for your part of the country. It does look pretty. No snow here right now, and we had a sunny day, but it is pretty cold. The temperature only made it into the twenties today.

Kathleen, that first shot is my favorite. We have no snow here on the VA eastern shore and no precip forecast. We have sunny skies and daytime temps in the 50s and 30s overnight.
